i probably would've banned me too after the free ilyaz campaign. i think i actually did get banned for a bit.

in reading everyone's replies to kthx's questions, it's clear we're all on the same page. the only potential stumbling block will be interference and restriction from letting us get started on loosening things up around here. i'm still very confident that we're not talking about putting some "figure heads" in place here. i believe that the new mods will be getting involved and making decisions and carrying out those decisions to fruition. or at least that's what hms seems to be pitching.

4) regardless of how long or who the contributing member of the forum is, the only bannable offense in my book is spam. if you post porn, i will save the porn and PM one of the other mods to EDIT it out (i'm not deleting porn, it's against my religion). if someone says the n word, i will EDIT it out. in my opinion the only reason to ban people is outright spam. not double/triple/quadruple posting.. but spam. this doesn't happen often and the only example i can think of when i would've banned the offender is when when jason drunkenly bumped every thread in existence with his "free ilyaz" campaign (xoxo). there's no reason to ban tone or people like him, they're harmless and give us people to fight about.
5) there are 2 things that will get me axed: posting my balls and/or undoing actions of other mods

Excuse me for taking your word on what you posted, and really if you want to get all 'judgemental' Its not a good thing to 'Ill be a mod if you change things this way', you should automatically be rejected based on that. Since the other applicants are asking to be mod so they CAN changes things, not have things change before they are 'willing' to be a mod.

My personal feelings for the applicants were not taken into account. If they were, weak would have been one, as would a few others. If you wish to change your current stance on your current application, I would be more than happy to consider you for any mod positions that open in the future. But as for this current ballot, there is nothing more to be done.

no you are right on that, still think you should have msged me though as it's pretty shitty wondering why i was left out when the other thing you said was "security risk" and i'm going wtf i've more integrity than most, so the only thing it can be is staff having a personal bias against me for whatever reason.

if you aim to improve the forums then make it fairer and like i've said not just to you but before your time is to make polls accessible to anyone without going through the mods and regulate them within the same rules, 404 not found agreed with me on that one get him active and a mod again while your at it, he was a good guy :P

nah it's the principle , i wouldn't have cared if i got 0 votes , but not being allowed to run due to a staff bias is what annoyed me. I still think it's pretty shitty on the other 2 not allowed to even run.

in fact i dont care about being a forum mod, only that there are some ppl that can actually do the job in a proper and fair way and i know i can do a better job than whats been going on.

When you say this (bolded) it makes me think this is some sort of puppet bullshit and these mods aren't going to have any power to actually fix the problem with the forums (Ara) or to change anything back to the way people want it (seeing every forum with new post). Are these mods going to be able to do or are they just there to give the illusion of giving the people what they want?

As I said, the forum work is currently on hold till we get these guys hired. I want their views and opinions involved on all decisions in forum. As it stands, we only have 3-4 active mods, none of which has much say on forum policy anyway. The candidates the admin chose are forum goers who we feel will be best able to contribute to the growth of the forum, and can remain active, while maintaining high standards of ethical moderation.
