I know these forums are the perfect place for you people to stirr things up, and cause confusion. However, you guys are indeed on a witch hunt here. You are so fully focussed on getting trancetunes axed that you are overlooking the bigger picture here. Trancetunes indeed does his job, at the beginning he has been overeager to prove himself and yes we have set him straight about that, and I have read every thread about him, how stupid they may have been sometimes. Some of your cases required talking to him and setting him straight and/or warning him. However, none of these alleged cases justified axing him in any way. Also, I think going on names similar to his and trying to piss him off so he will make mistakes is just plain sad. This has to come from both sides here, he leaves you guys alone unless you do something actually illegal, and you guys should just leave him alone and give him another chance. People grow up you know? I can name enough examples of current staffers who acted very immature in the past, but grew up and now serve staff and the TW Community to their best intentions.
Also, I only see you guys spilling your guts out on forums, if this is so 'important' then come straight to me instead of just posting new forum threads about him everytime something supposedly has happened. Thanks.

first off, great thread.

second, i am not involved enough in the TW community itself (by the time i fix my windows computer tw will be dead i stg) to really pass on these kinds of judgements, but i think everything that needs to be said can be found when looking at the "staff" page on tw.org. personally i don't think i know much anyone on this list except for dock, PL and m_m god. but just because i don't know these other guys doesn't mean they lack experience or talent or anything, but... well, that's exactly what i'm trying to say. it seems like the core of twstaff remained the same for a very long time, but within the past ~2 years went through some rapid turnover. there aren't many people left who have been around. besides dock> who doesn't actually play, i would have to say mm god is the oldest person on the list (unless someone is aliasing), though i started playing tw right after PL and spastic won TWL6 so maybe pl has been around for as long.

i mean yeah these guys might suck but what is even scarier is who might replace them. the problem is so systemic that it's not just one dude or a few dudes who can be replaced, it's the nature of the system itself. i remember the quota system being implemented around the time i joined staff... i made it maybe 3-4 weeks before getting sick of being judged not on my performance as a zone helper but instead on how many times i could spam "got it" on the staff chat. trancetunes might be the shittiest staffer ever but as long as he is on enough to answer all those calls, then that is what the twstaff value and prefer him for.

combine the high turnover + rigged system + a declining population, and there's just not much impetus for any sort of real change here. you have to make do with what you have. ideally i'd love to see the complex, bureaucratic TW that appeared around season 7-8 melt away to the ad hoc system that was in place before, but the strength of that system was based on the players that comprised it (how many times this year am i gonna have to namedrop KiNgZ <ER>), not an inherent quality of the system itself.

i would like to conclude by saying i have no idea what i am talking about and epinephrine needs to fix his "history of tw" link because i am beginning to forget what tw was even like in the good ol' days.

Staff, how do you expect us to want to donate to the game when, as an entity, you ignore our concerns until we break the rules, when suddenly we have your full attention? Why are you so gung ho to revive the game, yet you are so reluctant to do what needs to be done to revive the good image staff used to have, at the expense of the experience of many, many players?

Lol, again w/ this misconception that TW Staff has anything to do with this.

TWBR Staff <does not equal> TW Staff

Trench Wars Broadcasting Revolution (TWBR) is the group that is responsible for the above bold-quoted line. Some of the TWBR team are also TW Staff members that care about this game and spend most of their time promoting this game instead of actually playing it, while also fulfilling the role as TW Staff and are doing a fine job there as well. Some of the the TWBR Staff are not TW Staff.

TW Staff isn't the group asking to donate your time and money to help this game. TW Staff isn't the group busting their asses every day to bring new players to this game and messaging every new player that enters the zone to help them w/ any questions or concerns. TW Staff isn't creating Pub squads and having those new players join them in order to give them a reason to come back. TW Staff isn't hosting/paying for the cash events every weekend.

I'm not saying that TW Staff isn't doing what they are supposed to be doing, because most are. They moderate the zone and keep cheaters from taking over/help with disputes/host fun events.


I just wanted to make sure everyone realizes that TWBR is not TW Staff, so please stop posting stuff like the above while talking to/about TW Staff.

I made it so you could make a poll and find out where the zone stood on the # thing. Your ban itself was a legit ban. It's similar to the rule 11 in TW.

However, having the poll made would stop the ban happening again.
