why cramming rules...

actually i do feel special but thats not the reason for the post.
normally i get around 1:1 rec or worse, and usually i get around 70 kills in a good game. The reason i posted is to show how a good cramming strategy is 10X better than lining. 5 minutes after we based this team we decided to try again with a lining method and we lost 85k - 75k (the first match was won 140k - 30k with cram)
breaking a spider line is very easy, where breaking a good cram is pretty hard/impossible until the cramming team screws up somehow or the opposing team gets a lucky break.
people say "ohh cramming ruins the game and makes it boring" well yes it is boring for the opposing team because it is so hard to break and so easy to whine.

No strategy is superior, it depends who fulfills it properly.
Cramming is good to keep out most foes, however, those spiders are not invinsible to expert jav'ers with (max increased shrapnel).
Crining is not invinsible either, you'll still get intruders in both left/right tubes...then your lines become thin, eventually someone gets into lower base and creates havoc.
It all comes down to how good the players are, strategy is just a orchestrated method to maximize success (holding the fort).

i hate crining. lining and cramming are equally powerful in my opinion, but most of the times lines arent done properly.

Most smart WB pilots know the weaknesses of the spider.
Like doh, never fire when mr. spider is spraying you, only at a distance..
So let the spider get 1or2... dont fire, fly right thru...heh...
BTW, spiders do make good dodge practice machines....
do spider's bullets go same speed as wb's bullet? hmmm..
I'm sure all of you know this, cause I'm just a newbert qbert.

The reason why cramming sucks: Recently some people have been limited to only this strategy. Being able to only use 1 tactic makes you suck. We'll see the results as major chokes by the cram-only-squads. A squad that has the balls to push out, cram when the attackers push in and get lined after cram is broken has a lot more potential.Originally posted by Diakka

squads that think they can win by purely cramming are wrong and will get slaughtered by good basing squads.
Just cramming is good for average basingsquads (like spastic?), because it's very easy, anyone can do it. And because it's so easy you don't need much skills to do it. Thus cramming gives an average squad a great advantage and they will actually be able to put up a good fight against much more skilled basingsquads.
And against very weak squads their average spiders can actually get 2:1 ratios and 140+ kills, which for them is a great achievement.

we were basing whiterabbits in that match dabram, i dont know if you think of them as a really weak basing squad... but i think they are good.
i noticed that when we spider lined we had no shark protection against an enemy jav and our lines were useless. I also found that destroying the enemy spider line was fairly easy.
In cram the terrier is better protected as well as spiders.
for as crappy as I play 101 bounty and having 140 kills is pretty huge, thanks to the cram!
