TWSD (Trench Wars Spider Division)

Old farts won't argee with something new. I'm a old fart myself, yet I would find this idea to be very nice. Map would be some kinda of narrow base, not some wb empty space humping.

I agree. If its going to be a twsd I think you should have a smaller area and not like the twdd map . otherwise it would take years to play . I also think there should be like a time limit. :turned:

If I could I'd change my vote to 5v5. This would be good practise for teaming. But as I said before: if you make this happen, there has to be ping and ploss limits. Even 200ms+ ruins these.

I don't play TW much anymore.. but a Spider League? I mean.. lets get serious. No one plays spider duels! Now that think about it, I could see a purpose... for people who are too drunk to play a wb or jav, so it might actually work.

Here's a couple of my random thoughts on it:

a. It would take like 2 hours to play 1 round of a 5v5 match. the first 1.99 hours will consist of everyone dodging and rarely shooting. while the last 0.01 hours will be 1 person being brutally barraged by bullets.

b. The weekend League games would be a pain in the ass to schedule with an additional league.

c. The limit on number of people on a TWD squad would probably have to be upped, to accommodate for spider pilots. (just because someone is good at spider in base doesn't make them good in the open:P)

d. But hell, give it a try:P i see that 70% of the people feel it should be implemented. So, waste your precious bot/map coding skills on something that will surely die within a month :ninja:

Spiders are fine and SD is ok, but it should not be a part of league nor should it even get a bot. It should be a mod hosted event like the other events that take place in TW IMHO.

I like more ?go webcrawler than current spidduel map, but webcrawler is "optimized" for 4 teams. But spidduel iswokring for me - I would only place some sticks in the center - it s quite opened, but if this is an intention, than ok.

The spider league will not work. That would make it 4 leagues, i.e. 4 hours for teams in all leagues, per weekend.

People who say a game of Spider Dueling would take a long time has never ever played a game of ?go spidduel. Games take about as long or less than a game of warbird dueling.
I've played my share of spider dueling and I have been spawned maybe once or twice, not really occuring alot. (Think of warbird dueling when you get spawned as often as you don't).

My humble opinion is that spider dueling should be limited to 4 or 3 players per team. Individual skill shows more when there are less opponents to gang up on you.

I've been waiting for a spider division for so long...please make it happen!

Oh c'mon now. The already have a division basically, its called TWBD. This seems like a redundancy. If it does go torough, which I think it shouldn't, it should be 4 v 4
