I think what people don't understand is that come TWL time, squads will shift and there will still be 8+ squads in each league, like there is every year.. just because rosters are huge now doesn't mean much. There's a roster cap for TWL for a reason; the players that want to play TWL but aren't useful for squad will leave to start elsewhere. TWD is good for practice, and to get people's name out there. Jason's post pretty much sums it all up.

I think 99% of captains would rather tell you that they would rather axe some newbie on their roster who is getting a chance to learn how to play over axing someone who logs in once a week to chat because hes been playing this game for 10 years heh. Man this is retarded.

I have been keeping my roster at or under 35 and have not gone over since we started and have been one of the more active squads in twd. If you cant be active in 3 leagues with 35 people you should not have a squad.

Why the roster limit?
- This will create more twd squads and create more activity and games, we hope. We will see. If there is something wrong with the roster cap, we can always adjust it. Just be patient.

Its not playing games 24/7. Most players dont trust activity will come back to their squad so they just leave. Everyone wants to play now. Might as well go with mattey's idea of making 2 massive squads.

yea diakka portal would prolly be the ONE squad not affected by this change due to the incredibly high number of people with NO LIVES on portal. Other than that squad however.... Every thing in Jasons post is pretty dead on accurate. How do you expect the people with lives who come on the game in the little spare time they have be able to be on a squad with this new rule. Kthx pretty on point with his posts too. No one wants to axe players from their roster for no reason either. Have become friends with these guys and some are just hanging around until next season starts. Now captains have to axe these players and explain "u were too inactive, sorry." Just sucks :/ if it were made to 45 it probably wouldn't be to big of a deal. But regardless no more than one "new squad" will form. Just the facts.

Im pretty sure he didnt mean activity in general bozo! He like most of us are looking for more activity in terms of more squads hopefully being formed, as well as more competition coming from this in terms of more viable squads in TWL... Also hopefully some growth in terms of newer players being able to get more playing time once they do join a TWD squad... I mean You/ur squad is the perfect example to prove his point... You guys use to have a buncha noobs and trained them by implimenting them into the game with a mix of experienced ppl, which i feel you's did a really good job of introducing new players into Organized basing and squading... now its rare to see a noob even in for Tenure... Now i love ur sexually appealing squad with the exception of royst/phren ofc, FU PHREN!!.... but squads got crazy outa hand this TWD and theres no benefit to 4-5 squads having like 60+ ppl on rosters :P

Also i think that in TWL the limit is 35 isnt it??? So i dont see why that # wouldnt work here :P

I am not in favor of this personally. I mean Paladen will manage but squads like ours has run on semi active decent players for a long time. I think all this will wind up doing is discouraging the semi active players even more from playing because many will have to be axed over active players. At least make it 50 or something mehhh

Maybe we should just give this a few weeks and see where the chips fall. Maybe somebody else could do what royst decided to do with tenure. Right now tenure gets double the games (and actually probably tighter ones) because they've actually got another training squad to play against. That was our main issue before - we just couldn't play newb vs newb matches since no other squad played newbs. If the roster cap doesn't work out at least we've gotten rid of the impatient teenagers!

If you want more squads to form you should try making it so that only one person can be captain of a squad. So the only choice players with fat egos are left with is to make their own squad to have higher power.
