Quite a few wb and jav TW league guys play in aml/iml/pro. I know some TWL basers play DSB. And I believe a few other TWL ppl play HZ.

Ya, i'd say over 1/2 of the leagues LD/LJ players play in atleast 1 other zones league.

This whole thread is about basing (LB), not LD/LJ.

But urforgeting that ther are squads in LB, who also play both or 1 of the following LD/LJ. The whole point of scheduling in TWL is to try to be able to get ur best guys on all the time, teams schedule around other zone's leagues. U cant be disrupting that, bc a 5 minute delay could make the difference between making something and not. It takes long enuff w/ the 30 minute games, with delays, and getting lineups, and an "estimated 5 minutes" and blah blah. Till it gets started its usulay 15 past the hour. Then of course if its vs an ez squad it will be over faster, but if its an even match (we cant say who is an isnt even) it could take longer, i dont want to be guessing when i can and cant be on the computer. I like set times and scheduled things.

if we use a point race system in twl then we will make sure that there is enough time to start any scheduled games on time (barring delays that are completely out of our control).

Seriously, I just don't get your point. Or more accurately, what the big deal is about 5 minutes. I mean, LD's and LJ's aren't on scheduled times, either. There can be 5, even 10 minute differences between games. I don't hear anyone crying about that, you included.

Now one thing, the thing we want in the basing world, is getting rid of the cram, making it weaker, so we get more flagroom fights, therefor more exciting, and where does the point race come into all of this? I didnt hear anyone complain about the lenght of the matches, nor the hiding, so why do we have this again?

Exactly gall, we are trying to fix a problem which wasnt a problem in the 1st place. I think that there are bigger problems then a point race or not. Everyone wanted to weaken the cram, yet nothing is being done to do this, they made a 4 spider limit in TWD, that dont weaken the cram 1 bit.

And Adeon, LD/LJ are 1 round, they are usualy over within 15-20 minutes TOPs. They arent real problems, i can estimate how long they are gonna take. Basing is the league which takes the longest and that ppl are needed more for. If id ont show up for LD i dont see it as a huge loss, nor do i think pirates would, but i feel i am needed for LB. Those other 2 leagues Rarely go over 15 minutes, even the close matches dont go that long.

I dunno if the funness factor has increased in basing since the 4 spid max rule was implemented. But, one thing I've noticed is that the games are pretty close ... at least seem very close scorewise in TWDB.

If the pt is about FR battles then the cram is more of a sidenote since any effective entrance strat decreases the # of FR battles. It's more about using methods / changing things, to make basing more spread around (some time played in all areas of the map) ... regardless of the strategy teams use. So yeah ... map changes are cool =D.

If you plan for 30 mins of actual game time, I'm sure you'll be safe.

Uhm cig, it did weaken the cram a bit, atleast in the pretty much even squad skill wise games I played.

Well ya its obviously a lil weaker being there isnt that extra spider shooting down, but u have to account for a lag rocketing jav now, or pesky wb bothering u from below, and the basic setup is still the same, the cram mite not kill as many as fast, but it is still held as strong if u got the 2 good sharks working together.
