It definitely shouldn't become a large list. As I said, anywhere from 0-5 a season seems reasonable. We have the twl championships, all-star game, and game mvps, we don't need to go crazy. When Dabram gets in the HoF, it's one player too large :P

yeah I agree, you don't need to have a set 3 players get in per year, I think it needs to be flexible. Some years more stuff happens than others, and I also feel to be a HoF guy continued success over multiple seasons would weigh more than one very good season. Also, fuck The Bram.

A HoF would be cool tho. Aslong as you guys put together comments about the player and how they were significant enough to be put into the Hall. If it ends up just being a list of names then thats pretty lame.

Doesn't HZ have something like this? They have players write about the reasons why they believe this person is inducted into the Hall of Fame.

I'll pick the hall of famers with you, Epi. Let's start with TOFU, pHalAnx and Win95 or Queen Six, though zombie really plays pro.

Anyway, it should start by not adding anyone without a history of at least five years, although most of the oldbies have quit. But we can't start by adding Ease, Amputate or Cape there, the dudes are just newbies, although amongst the top players at the moment.

On a sidenote, Kim had a good point in his first post, I wouldn't get my name in there based on skill. There has to be more criterias than that. =D

True, like Ronaldo for TWLD in -F-. I don't think he played one game in twld, yet it has his name on the champions box. But the point was it still shows the contributors names in those arenas, their names will always be stored. So I think thats still pretty good recognition.

Don't get me wrong, I'm not saying this is a bad idea. I just think its hard to say who deserves to go where. Because a lot of peoples opinions could be biased, etc.

I played 5 games in TWL , including two preseason matches and yet Disq left me out of that list after I left the squad when TWL was over. If we want to keep the history correct, make sure no bullshit is possible.

This sounds like another popularity contest just like getting chosen to the TWL all-star game. Its a good idea if u run it rite, but if u let it get biased and deny ppl because they are dicks or because of personal reasons it gets stupid. This should be based on skill / titles / squadcaptainin / etc and not on personality.

In my oh-so-humble opinion, at the moment this would hurt the community more than it would benefit it. Pretty many guys will get pissed. For those that'll enjoy things like this, it'll probably only be on the first read, which will take 10 minutes. The flame war on the forums will probably last until the feature is removed.

Its not a popularity contest if Epi, Rule, brookus ran it, because I see these people as keen bullshit detectors. They've been sucked up to for their entire subspace careers, I doubt sucking up now will do you any good now, they are trained to sift through the shit. (lack of a better word)

It won't hurt because you didn't get in, because very few can get in, and you always have next year to get in. I think people should get in in one of three categories, Player, Builder (I.E TWL staff wise, like slowbob and pusher etc) and perhaps Captain, because someone who is a captain of a stable long running TWL squad deserves some merit. Especially if said squad has won several championships.

Great to see so many people posting. Sorry I haven't been around, had 4 exams this week, just got finished.

Ok, I've read everyone's posts and I think their are many good ideas and a few bad ones. First of all, like Disq said, people like Amputate, Ease, Cape should not get voted in.....or even in the next 1 or 2 years (unless Cape leads dice to 3-peat twlj then this would prob qualify for hall of fame). But we aren't here to discuss WHO is going to get in. We are here to discuss HOW they are going to get in it.

I would love to put Epi in charge of this whole thing, the guy is a vet, has seen every good player, and is a real fair guy. Same with Disq. Those 2 would be fine. They would need to elect 4 or 5 guys to aid them with this. Vets of course....that know about season 1, season 2 stuff, etc......As the years go bye, these positions of HOF committee seats will pass down to new players....ie players who were active during season 3/4....then a few years later it will be passed to people in my generation....who watched the last few seasons. But once we get the initial 6 guys to vote in the REAL OLD GUYS, it will be all downhill from there.

BUT with this commitee, I have to stress this. You NEED to make sure the player you are inducting in has had a TREMENDOUS IMPACT on tw. Whether it be skill/captaining/work done to improve the zone/people-friendly, etc. The hall of fame is the BEST of the BEST. 3 players a year is perfect, I think brookus said this.


So here is my idea of the Comittee:

(this isn't final, just an idea)

-They have a private section of tw forums to write on.
-Nominations (threads) for players from Pre-TWL to TWL season 2 are made.
-Discuss for months about who/why this person should be in twl take place.
-Voting can then take place to narrow it down from lets say 10-15 guys to 5-7 guys.
-From these 5-7 guys, an in-depth look into every angle (skill/championships won/maybe they came in 2nd but they were captains/popularity/skill in other events ie Deathmatch, etc.) EVERY ANGLE is looked at and debated (nicely) with each other.
-Three players are inducted on a unanimous decision from the commitee.
-Page long descriptions of every player inducted are made (squads on/accomplishments/ya know, make it like it's an ESPN segment, get personal
-These 3 players are then announced at the end of the TWL season.


-Website can easily be made to accomodate this portion (screenshots of these guys would be real awesome to put with this)
-Arena .?go history can be made with every player in a ship and the seasons played/cups won.....and a link to the website.



Remember, these are all IDEAS.....if you don't like them, again, don't be a shitbag........just simply state what you would change.
