Ikrit, I entirely understand your point of view, but how far apart the score was, was irrelevent.

Whenever problems like this happen, games are restarted. There is no reason for that not to happen to us. As for the 2nd round, we were obviously dissapointed with what transpired in the first round, so it affected the game.

The point is that even if one team is winning by 10 points, if a major bot crash like that happens so early in the game, there needs to be a restart (which is exactly what had happened to other games so far in this season).

The bot died early in the game (under the first 5 minutes!), and we didnt know whether to continue playing or not, and by the time we found out the damage had already been done.

If the rules said that after a major bot crash early in the game that the host would "manually host" the remainder of the game, I wouldn't be writing this appeal. However the rules say that in the event of a failure, the game should be restarted.

I'm just going by the rules, and on simple logic.

According to 4.01, when a major failure happens a restart is supposed to happen (especially when the crash happens so early in the game).

By the way, just reading this. If the bot did in fact die, the round should be replayed. Even if it lagged for minutes, that causes too much confusion and people assume that the bot died. Just replay the round, it doesn't matter anyway. Sk8 will win the series

It's fine if Sk8 wins the "series", I just think it would make this league better if things were done properly, instead of not going by the rules that are posted.

Aye, the appeal is definitely justified and you should get the replay when going by the book, but I feel Ikrit's decision was correct since there should've been little harm donr as he continued hosting it manually. You should always keep playing (until the host determines the bot has died and decides what to do) even after the bot stops tracking the score, since there can be some major lag/other issues.

Why is it that when almost EVERY other game in TWL experiences a massive bot failure, there's a replay. Except when it comes to us, we dont get the same protection of the rules?

Here, I'll give you a real life example... let's say at the FIFA World Cup... the entire system crashes... no scoring, no instant replays, no timer... someone just completely trashed the servers in the middle of the game and they can't pull it back up to where it was. I'd be willing to bet $1,000,000 that FIFA would let the game continue and have people keep track of the score/time.

In TWL, when the bot crashes, the games are replayed. This has happened all throughout the season.

Now when we have this problem, why should we be the exception and NOT get the replay? Especially considering the failure happened so early in the game.

There should be a rule placed: If your winning by X amount of kills, the game is manually continued. Otherwise, restarted. Then, random newbies like Zingy wont come to the forums bitching about how their squad got "screwed over".
