You believe abortion is wrong? Fine. You're homophobic? Fine.
You have your own set of moral standards, and so does everybody else.
I personally believe abortion should be legal, because it's a personal choice with personal consequences. The same goes for gay marriage.
What I find offensive is that you would put restrictions on a person's freedom, because their personal choices conflict with your perception of what is or isn't moral. Who are you to judge?
I could understand if these choices would negatively impact society, but that simply isn't the case here.

If I was president, I'd make it illegal NOT to have an abortion and I'd force everyone to try gay sex at least once, just so people like hairygroin could get a taste of their own medicine.

you know what the saddest part is. Everyone was talking about how big the voter turnout would be and it's only like 110 mil. Americas total pop is what? 300 mil? Hairy, did you read Fallen Angel's post? Did you understand it? The argument you just tried to make is completely invalid. You assume that those of us who are pro-choice (abortion or gay marriage that is) are no different than you because we are voting our conscience. You fail to realize that by voting our conscience, we are giving our fellow Americans the right to listen to their own consciences, whereas you would rather someone else tell them what to do.

You can say I'm wrong in the light of me "dictating other people's consciences". But I'm not trying to dictate conscience.

I have always equated abortion with a lack of responsibility and as a form of "acceptable murder" since it doesn't actually say "murder" anywhere.

Since people generally don't believe in someone being able to just choose to kill another person, I equally don't believe in abortion. It's pretty simple actually.

My belief is that an unborn child is a person, so obviously I would vote against it because I don't believe murder should simply be hinged on a "choice" without consequences.
