've come to know a few pure "the bible is never wrong" Christians and some of them are ok, but 've also come to know a few Christians who actually have open minds, namely my girlfriend. She is Christian to a degree, she believes in god but unlike most Christians, she doesn't force her beliefs on others to "save them". She is fine with same sex marriage but against abortion, she's all for sex before marriage( for that I thank her n.n; ) and listens to death metal, Marylin Manson, techno, J-Pop, etc etc and finds the "Super Christians" she babysits for( they just RECENTLY got a tv, because the parents didn't want their kids subjected to the "evils" of television and when they watch anime, they call the fairies "stupid" because god would never make such a creature ) to be insanely over bearing.

Wish more Christians were like her, the world would be a very different place, perhaps better, maybe worse.

Gay Marriage: Legally there should be no distinction between men and women. Secondly, what all the idiots that voted for banning gay marriage failed to fucking realize: If you ban gay marriage, and like ohio ban civil unions, guess what you just did? You've banned legal rights for even male-female relationships that aren't legally bound in marriage. Yay Baptists.

As far as I am aware:

Banning gay marriage is unconstitutional.

Why?

Becuase frankly, as long as we have separation of Church and State (it's a premise of what the United States was founded on) then you have Church marriages which are later sanctioned by the law as official, and then you have marriage by Judge which has no affiliation with Church at all.

If there is NO affiliation with Church, which is presumably the source of all the anti-gay sentiment, then how on Earth can it be banned? It's a violation of Constitution, and I can't wait for the day where all 11 states repeal their bans on gay marriage.

I'm not gay, but frankly the government made a blunder.
