I don't agree with that. Most people that play this game were probably born with videogames/computers etc and will probably use them and keep up with them for the rest of their lives.

My dad, my brothers and I always tease my mom about that. But here, we call it techno-idiot.

My mom is ok with computers, but only because my dad and both of my brothers are computer programmers. So, they forced her to at least know how to use the computer. However, she has no idea whatsoever how to work the DVD player. I told her to go put a DVD in for me so it could start loading. She couldn't figure it out. "Press the on button" Where's that? "Bottom left, big bitton that say power on it" Then what? "Put the DVD in" How? "Press the eject button" Do I put the shiny side up or down? "Just like a CD, mom" Which way is that? "Shiny side down." Do I close the tray? "Yes, mom."

Would have been faster to do it myself.

usually wehn i'm playing ss or something my dad wants me to go and do something and tells me to "pause it". i try to tell him it doesnt work like that but he doesnt listen

Sometimes when my dad comes into my room, sees me playing ss, he thinks for himself that he'll shut that computer down right now!" So he attacks my monitor, presses the monitor button (so it shuts down), then he leaves my room laughing and with a big meanie smile, cause he thinks he shut down my computer.

I've never told him that the monitor on/off button does not turn off the whole computer...I'll let him have his fun :P

My 70 year old dad bought a computer with win xp about 6 months ago, and he still can't figure out how to check his email. He calls me up pissed off and I have to walk him through it. He doesn't know any of the terminology, so when I ask to open internet explorer, he doesn't understand what I mean. He doesn't know the difference between a browser and a website. It's just really sad.

He's also bitterly resentful that he still can't use his old computer that is loaded with win95 because he learned to figure that one out.
