    Oh for gawd's sakes people, it's just a corporate name! They started out in the U.S. calling themselves America Online, and then they expanded to other countries. They don't have to change their names to do that, in fact, it'd be pretty asinine of them to do so. It's just a name, get over it.

    Hmm....dude, thanks. I'll give that a shot next time I go to his house. He's still not going to know what the hell I'm talking about when I ask him to open his web browser, but maybe that might help him struggle through it more easily.

    My Mum's fine with tech stuff, it's my Dad who's crap.

    Someone said that their Mum types the address into the google bar and then clicks the link, that's exactly what my Dad does. Instead of adding to favourites, he'll always do File -> Save As. And for some reason, whenever I go on after him the favourites sidebar is open.
