firstly- its not just girls, its prepubescent children, both male and female.

If i were to be attracted to a 9 year old, i would tell myself, 'that's not normal- abort thought'. Society dictates what's normal. When there's a strong voice in a public arena advocating homosexuality, and it seems like the community supports the voice, then it doesn't seem so bad to engage in a fairly accepted perverse activity. When pediphiles get strong representation, then they too will be accepted as if, "there's no choice, they were born that way."

Religion is the same way... where there's strength in numbers, there's acceptance.. doesn't mean they're right or wrong... just means there's support in that area. People love having someone to point the finger towards to justify their actions. "If everyone's doing it, how can it be wrong?"

If you read into that, the "sexually immoral" (ie. people who have pre-marital sex , and other things of the sort) are just as bad as the gays in the eyes of God. Which would make many of us (I wanted to say most, but let's be real considering where this forum is) sinners in the eyes of God. Which would make many of those who quote this kind of passage huge hypocrites. What about that evangelical pastor guy who supported every anti-gay-marriage bill presented in his state and preached about the sins of adultery and homosexuality, then was found to be doing methamphetamine with a hired male prostitue twice a month. The whole Bible vs homosexuality argument is ridiculous because 99.9% of the die hard Christian people who quote this kind of thing are hypocrites and have done things worse than those they speak out against. People have preferences in life, personal ones, and for you to try and deny them that is just ignorant. Especially the Christians. I can compare that argument to extremist Islam. They claim that anyone who isn't Muslim should be killed because they are infidels. The conservative Christian movement won't say gays should be killed, but they condemn them. Does the Bible not say "judge not, lest ye be judged"? I'm done, point of the story: WHO CARES IF SOMEONE IS GAY. HOW DO THEY AFFECT YOU AT ALL? LEAVE THEM BE YOU FUCKING RETARDS.

There's nothing wrong with society changing their ideals of what is considered "perverse activity", especially if it's not hurting anyone else. Besides, I'm guessing most 9 year olds don't usually like getting raped, so I'm not really sure how much of a choice exists in your analogy.
