As some of you may know, we home school our daughter.
We just recently received the results of her 4th grade finals... and my jaw hit the floor.

According to the California Achievement Test (which supposedly has the highest standards in the country... ) her scores were:

    Reading:
    Vocabulary - Score=40 / grade equivalent: 10.7 / percentile = 99
    Comprehension - 40 / 11.5 / 99
    Math:
    Computation - 62 / 8.8 / 99
    Concepts & problems: - 38 /9.6 / 99
    Language:
    Mechanics: - 62 / 9.2 / 94
    Usage & Structure: - 29 / 9.6 /94
    Spelling: - 30 / 11 / 99

... As you can see, I'm shocked, amazed & proud. Her reading & language are at a high school level & she's in the top percent of kids her age.

Homeschooling is depriving your kid of all the non-academic related things you learn in school. Anyways, none of my business.... grats on having a smart kid, to bad you brainwash her with your Religion.:fear:

That is so cruel man, social skills get you farther in life than anything else... and sitting at home with mommy and daddy doesn't develop social skills. I hope when middle/high school starts you send her to school, or when it's time for college, she will be so unbelievably lost it will be sad.

For math, she got as far as adding & subtracting fractions. She'll be starting algebra next.
We're not a church going family. Other than occasionally adding my 2 cents, she has a course from the Academy called Studying God's Word, but it's a small part of her total studies.
We live like a block away from a very popular Park District where she gets plenty of social contact playing with the kids there.
