voting based on platform? what do you expect me to do? Research this thoroughly and join in on these forum discussions that never go anywhere? In the end, what does it matter what I do or how I vote to YOU? Who are you to tell me how I should cast my vote? I just said that if I really dont like the republican candidate at all then I dont vote...at least you can rest assured that I'm not completely blindly throwing my vote away. In fact, to tell the truth I dont usually go out and actually vote...I voted Bush last election, but I really wanted him to get reelected because I like his policies and therefore somewhat cared. Really what I want to reserve my vote for is to find some hippie douchebag and let him know that the only reason I'm voting is to cancel out his vote
    I'm just a middle-aged, middle-eastern camel herdin' man
I got a 2 bedroom cave here in North Afghanistan

If Rudy Guliani becomes our next president I'm leaving. He's definitely the worst candidate that stands a chance of winning.

I don't know if he stands a chance but Huckabee is pretty bad, Rudy still tops it. All the Republicans are terrible people and some of the more decent Democrats like Biden and Richardson have no hope in hell.

                  Maybe because it's my opinion?

As the Governor of Arkansa the piece of shit let out murders and convicted rapist on the streets because they found his weakness and their path to freedom, his religion. Check the Wayne Dumond and Glen Green case for more info.

You're entitled to your opinion but if you plan on convincing anyone then you ought to provide some backing to it.

The America constitution is one of the finest in the world, but I can't help thinking that it's kinda gone to pot now...

You have an electorate which is largely apathetic and which apparently views religiousity as the most important facet of a political candidate.

(Correct me on this one)You have a federal system where smaller states votes are akin to larger states meaning you have disproportionate representation. The implications of this are that the smaller Southern states have equal power to the larger, more densely populated, Northern states.

You only seem to have two viable parties. I mean, is there really that much difference in practice between the republicans and democrats? Don't get me wrong, political homogenisation is a problem in any democratic country but it just seems that the American system is slightly worse.

You have conspiracies arising from the appointment of political candidates accused of vote fraud. Is there any truth in this?

You have a congress where 4 out of the 9 Senators are fundamental Christians who actively base policy shifts on biblical dogma. (Anti stem cell research / Anti homosexual rights). Remembering that the USA was based on ammendments which explicitly defined the separation of Church and State.

This isn't an attack, just some observations. I actually regard the American political system highly.

We get it, you don't like religion. Find a different tune because you're turning into the next T0ne all too quickly.

ps. I'm a huge fan of Ron Paul. I guess I just admire pure-form free marketeers.

Man, and there was I thinking I'd disguised my anti-religious beliefs in my political arguments. :P

With the exception of his abortion view, I too like Ron Paul. My first choice is Barack Obama but if Ron Paul were running as independent or Libertarian, he might have had my vote.

Well, I don't agree with everything Ron Paul stands for. But the bottom line is this, George Bush's platform was based on non-intervention...he adamantly stated that we shouldn't be involved with nation building. What did he do once he was elected? He completely flip flopped. I'd sooner go with a candidate that I trust to do as they say (despite only agreeing with them 80%) than go with a candidate that I'm 100% (I don't actually agree with any of the candidates 100%) with, but will flip flop once in power.

Edit: Trust is a tricky issue, but I encourage you to find all the corrupt scandals Ron Paul has ever been involved in, you won't find any--I've looked. I've found tons of dirt on just about every other candidate, Kucinich is trustworthy as well.
