  • So... Democrats who are legitimate: Obama and Clinton.
Republicans are showing McCain and Huckabee.

    So it seems.

    I hope McCain wins.

legitimate isn't the best word, they're the most likely to run in their respected parties.

Maybe God was the first suicide bomber and the Big Bang was his moment of Glory.

                              • You get what you elect

As an American I'd say it's sad people don't try to get involved and informed early. I can attest it is easy to become pessimistic, it can be difficult and confusing to try to be informed, but it is necessary. Many times good candidates get pushed to the side b.c the masses just wait untill there's a few people left and then take interest. Sad. By not getting involved the media and candidates pick the issues they want to talk about.

We need to drive the issues and make them focus on what WE want them to do when they get in office. They are, after all, suppose to do what we want.

I agree with what someone said that within each party there is a wide range of people supporting different issues. There are however some basic general traits that seem to always remain throughout both parties.

Someone brought up religious stuff and candidates/parties, and how Republicans are more religious than Democrats. I don't think that is true, their application is different. Republicans think their religious morality should dictate law for everyone. Democrates think there should be less moral laws handed down by the goverment because people should be able to choose for themselves. God may have things he would rather people do or not do, but he gives them free choice to do as they wish. God does not set up the laws of the universe so you cannot make certain choices b.c he thinks there might be a better choice to make.

The Republicans are trying to play a twisited God role for the country, and it's wrong. It seems more of a political tactic to try to get religious fundementals to vote for and support them. It's very sad because we have masses of people the support the Republicans simply b/c they say they stand for a few issues that are religiously driven. But what about the rest of their politics? They don't seem to be "for the people" on much of anything else.

Republicans, mostly, are champions for big buinesses and special interests who have a lot of money.

I really don't see how people vote for them knowing the repubs will be trying to help the rich get richer and F the average american on the street.

Democrates on the whole, are big supporters of the average person. The current Democratic cands support big issues that help everyone, like environment change, and healthcare for everyone. (to name two)

Repubs have shot down these type of advancements b.c it hurts the established groups and businesses who have a lot of money, and will continue to make tons of money IF things stay the same.

This is such horse shit, and anyone who supports politicians who want to keep the status quo are fucking morons, and you're getting exacly what you deserve by putting these people in power. Repression, and a F'd up future with a climate that's going into the shiter.

I challenge anyone to site something a repub president has pushed for that has helped the average american. And please don't list tax cuts, b.c their tax cuts help big businesses and the rich the most. Repub tax cuts help the middle class very little.
I came, I saw, I lagged out...
