Fair enough. But bear in mind that the republican candidates have a wide range of views and some of them may be entirely opposite to yours. Giuliani, for example, is all about gun control. Also, Hillary is doing quite well and has the most corporate/media/defense contractor support among democrats (that = big $$$). Disclaimer: I don't care for her either.

Politics is not an honest profession, despite how much you all believe every word these candidates are saying. Jimmy Carter is the last really 'honest' president that we really had IMO, and if we had a bunch of Jimmy Carters lead us ever since we'd be no different than Europe and Canada and be unable to stand up for ourselves. With my rant aside, I think that every American knows that politicians are lying when they speak.
Very cynical. Yes, most of us 'know' this. It's too bad we aren't willing to do anything about it.

Why would I ever vote a democrat when republicans support the troops much better? ... Americans understand that within our country there are other reasons for how we cast our vote other than how the rest of the word perceives the best candidate to be.
Actually, supporting the presence of our troops abroad meddling in various countries causes foreigners to be much more interested in our politics (because as a military-economic superpower, we have a ridiculous amount of influence over their lives.) If you really want them to shut up and go away, support a candidate that doesn't waste our money and lives interfering with countries abroad.

Oh, and if you're looking for an honest Republican who supports our troops, you might want to take a look at Ron Paul, who has the most support from troops and military families. (easy to find on youtube).

He doesn't think the Constitution gives citizens a right to privacy, and I know he hasn't said he would take it away as it's always a state decision.

""any claim based upon the right of privacy, including any such claim related to any issue of ... reproduction"

"Ridiculous as sodomy laws may be, there clearly is no right to privacy nor"

    Citizens have rights not states.

Yet he believes in Government not intervening in cases of personal privacy, wire tapping ect... Because that's illegal, domestic spying without court oversight. If I'm wrong please direct me to the proper article.

I will also have you fucking foreigners notice that Americans have ceased to argue with me at this point. Whether or not they want to get so far into every election that they care about it doesnt matter overall. Economically, I dont have any reason to vote for a democrat ever. Why would I ever vote a democrat when republicans support the troops much better? Would I ever expect school teachers to vote republican? No, because democrats support them much better. Americans understand that within our country there are other reasons for how we cast our vote other than how the rest of the word perceives the best candidate to be. That's why you faggots dont get a vote. Jesus christ annoying

This is obvious but just because the constitution doesn't guarantee the right to privacy doesn't mean Ron Paul is against it. That's like saying Ron Paul doesn't believe in women's suffrage because it wasn't in the original constitution. Makes no sense dude.
remember when epi was trying to make that exact argument: that if ron paul wants the constitution to dictate policy than he doesn't want women to have rights because it wasnt in the original constitution? what a headache.

kolar, where does ron say he is against privacy, or is going to take it away? the 4th ammendment sort of goes into that...

Most agnostic people I know are pretty cool about religion and atheism. I use to be an atheist but as I matured my stance changed from 'there's no god' to 'there might be a god', I guess if I can' prove either then sitting on the fence allows me the ability to not say yes or no. I know overwhelming amount of people who label themselves as Christians and Catholics yet they're far from it, they might believe in god but that's as far as it goes. I know what it's like to be labeled an atheist and get shit on from religious people (I was suspended several times in grade 9-10 for wearing a bad religion shirt that has a slash through a cross). It was a band shirt first and forth most, but even though it was a public high school the teachers were still keen to make it an issue. The school was predominantly Muslim, royst apparently went there and can attest to the amount of religious and racial influence that school has.

I see the shit religious people take for believing in something and having faith in something above themselves, I see atheists get shit on for refuting to believe in a higher power. The word atheist has a bad spin to it, which isn't a bad idea or word at all. I see both groups of people, and neither makes complete sense to me but I'm glad people believe in something whether it's no god or a god, or multiple gods!

Meh, I was going by what I learned in my government class. The fact that our text books are from 1998 might have something to do with the info being wrong. And my teacher is an imbecile.

What do you think is so bad about Hillary that you'd consider emigrating if she got into office?

I do not believe in any religious or non religious superiority, I believe everyone should be allowed to believe in what they want to believe in as long as they don't act like cunts about it.

My own personal views on being agnostic are only relative to my inability to know anything or prove anything, I do not push this belief on people, I'd rather they believe, don't believe or sit on the fence as long as they don't make rash claims about their intelligence. I was only saying I am agnostic, this isn't because atheist superiority or fundamentalist superiority has forced me to be bipartisan about religion or my belief in a higher power, it's because this is what makes sense to me, right now at least. I'm sorry if it seemed like I professed agnostic superiority, I do not believe in religious superiority of any kind.

edit: yeah man you're right, I flubbed up. I editied the post, I see why someone would interpret agnostic superirority by adding 'tht's exactly why I'm agnostic' to the end of my post. I guess both groups just bog me down and I didn't think before I typed.

Atheist superiority is just as much bullshit as religious superiority, that's exactly why I'm agnostic.
With you appreciating the relativistic approach to issues, you probably will acknowledge that you are professing agnostic superiority, right? It's either that, or your last statement is a non-sequitur. At least, that's how I would interpret it.

    and on topic:
I do not actively follow the elections, but occasionally I read some article about the whole deal. When the elections are actually close, I'll start to care more.
