itt: jerome thinks the word taliban is an ideology, and a political one at that.

If you read my post, nowhere do i suggest ways of defeating terrorism. I said it's naive to think bombing radical thinking afghans will end the War on Terror.

equating a WWII political ideaology with a 21st century strict interpretation of islam? thumbs up yo, thumbs up. That's a bit out there, even for you.

A-Class foxhole cover for ya boy. You going to whipe his ass too?

A clear enemy that is Terrorism, am I right? Terrorist ideas, a tenet of the Taliban's philosophies yeah? The Taliban stands for terrorism and hatred of the west. The Taliban is our enemy for what they believe in, have done, and plan to do. Simple and plain. Now, you can find billions who fit these criteria.
    Thus, by squeezer saying:

"HURGAHH, they took our JERBS, bOmB datT middle east YERRR, THEY TOOK OUR JERBS"

It's easy to see he was mistaken. And by you saying

    , youre wrong

Please, continue believing that the War on Terror will end with the defeat of a bunch of afghan men hiding in some hills.

that's because you're stupid. Like Gen said. I only stated that its possible to destroy opposing infrastructure and scare people into obedience through military force (especially when you can launch missles from hundreds of miles offshore and hit a target within a foot of the expected destination or are considered the world's last military superpower).

edit: keep it real. REAL REAL

And whether or not he inherited the past president's war's doesn't change the fact that he's in charge now and if he wants to pull troops out he can.
Don't even post if you aren't going to read. Obama ordered it's immediate closing the 2nd fucking day in office. Where the hell are you going to put the prisoners? Is this really what you guys believe?

You think you can just give the boot to hundreds of international criminals?
The U.S. has to negotiate with other countries to place them in Europe, essentially dispersing them.

Having them shutdown, seeing the prisoners sent overseas to different military prisons, and giving an expected date for when 100% of prisoners will have left, allows us to consider Gitmo as a shell of it's former self in the LEAST meaning Gitmo is shutting down as fast as it can.

The Nobel people at least saw that all efforts are being made to close Gitmo and that it is only a matter of time until the remaining few prisoners are left. They concluded it will eventually be 100% shutdown (jan 2010 i believe?).

p.s. All i deduced from Squeezer's comments were "bombing the shit out of the Afghans will get Terrorism and hatred of the West out of their minds".

Yeah, cause suddenly pulling all of your troops out a country that you have laid to shit surely improves world peace. Yeah, that would deserve you that prize for sure, just letting some country implode on itself without taking responsibility for what you have done.
