I play elim and do well and it seems to piss people off.

this is exactly what I’m walking about and why this topic is so futile. People say you literally kill actual ENJOYMENT IN A GAME for them and all you think is “they just don’t like me cause I’m good”. You’re incredibly selfish, arrogant, and, above all, oblivious.

Make a smaller "arena" in elim for the final 3-5 and change the warps. Force fights.

That or add a 5 minute timer when 2 people are left and if the timer runs out, most kills wins.

Jessup, it's clear that your playstyle is different than basically everyone else. Your playstyle also draws out games longer than they otherwise would be and often leaves you with a low score against a high-scored player. You are setting yourself up to be hated. If you want to play the safest-possible-ever warbird to win elims in 2022, that's fine. But own it. You know what you're doing. The W you get after a 10 min 1v1 is an elim that didn't happen. You have to accept the consequences of your actions. Those consequences are going to be hate.

Players like Burnt, Metalkid, Lasenza, Dak, and many others have been running and lobbing in elim for the past 20 years. It may not have ever been to the degree of what Jessup does but I'm not sure why you guys are acting like this is something new. There is no rule and there will never be a rule that will force players to rush at eachother and fight r1/r2 battles because that is simply impossible to enforce outside of a jousting competition. If Jessup is straight up running away or hiding in a corner, you can certainly report him and staff will intervene as that is not allowed.

It would be far more productive to brainstorm ideas on how to fix what you perceive to be an issue as opposed to just chanting "ban jessup" because of how much of a meme he has become in the community. If you all believe that a player utilizing a strategy to stay alive is a problem in a game mode that's literally designed to reward staying alive, that seems more like a design flaw.

I think the dynamics have changed. When elim use to be popping, there were a constant amount of players from each elim and those players would still come up with nice scores. Clearly elim isn’t what it use to be now so her play-style hinders what’s left of elim.

There was also a clear skill advantage from those players to Jessup, if I am being honest.

There are threads going back years about your playstyle, especially in TWDT, and no matter how many people offer you legitimate advice and even try to be helpful, you insist that everyone else is wrong and your playstyle is fine. I vote a variation of turbans battle royale style or capes smaller arena... While we're on the topic how come the whole map is never unlocked when it's a huge game.

Perhaps add like 30 secs each kill (maybe 15 secs each kill at the start progressing to 30) or something to your individual timer ⏳ incentivizing fighting instead of the no skill coward running shit jessup does and thinks is actual skill

Sure, she plays too safe in most games but I find it rather easy to chase down such opponents should it come down to it. I feel the current rating system also discourages playing safe as you get far more rating when you are eliminating other players from the game and getting high kills.

Nevertheless I have always been of the opinion that when there's two or three players remaining, there should be an arena announcement stating that players will be fighting in a much smaller arena and then shortly after all players are warped there. This would likely fix everything in the end.

Perhaps but I liked your concept of 'battle royale' seems like a fun game mode if it can be executed properly

Seems like a way to reinvigorate elim altogether and a fix to the current issue at hand, albeit it would be more work intensive at first for staff/coders

While Jessup is generally easy to kill... Its not so easy when they've decided to just run out the clock doing laps around large objects. I've seen them do this several times. The amount of effort it takes to be the hunter vs the hunted in that scenario is like 20:1.

Along with the absurd amount of time she adds to every elim running/refusing to fight/hiding.. she really does add on average 15 minutes to each elim as she tries to manipulate her undeserved 'rank' in elim with her pathetic tactics

Ive seen plenty of people refuse to vote 10 deaths just because they don't want to spend 30 minutes chasing her around the map when she's in the arena - no exaggeration..

Unless you're god tier like Turban.
Battle royal option as a vote pre-match could be a decent counter, I rather 8-0 hiding fks late game where they cant run tho..
