wat about attitude

might be a good idea, might not. it will be flooded and it would take to long to read through all of it, maybe set some requirments idk.
wat i do know is that person should have good attitude, and not gonna abuse their powers. basicly u must know the person to let him have staff. i dont think u can judge that through an application.

I think this is a really good idea for how to find players interested and dedicated enough to be staff members. As for the n00bs, just add a filter that deletes every application with " u " in it.

What if the very respected and well known player U comes back and applies? Dont ?squad him and judge... he is a nice guy once you get to know him.

Wasn't this already done before and they took it out? Anyway, I personally disagree with a staff application. There would be countless applications coming in a day, and chances are people would be too impatient to get a response, so they'd send in another application...And another. AND ANOTHER.

I as well as most that have stated their opinions on here do not think this is a good idea. reasons:
1. The inbox will be spammed and waste moderator time which seems to be sparse as it is.
2. Most applicants will lie on the form just to try to give themselves a better chance.

I am not 100% sure how the section process is currently conducted if there is a set pattern. Maybe that information could be made public so the process is understood better. I do agree that new staff members should be selected by a group of upper division highly respected moderators, after all they are going to training new staff members. Also if new staff members is decided by a group anyone that has reflected a bad side at one time or another will be spotted by at least one moderator and noted during the selection process.

maybe applications could be made via a lottery with s first 10 out of the ones sent in get looked at with the rest binned- just an idea unfair but random so you coulnt complain plus would only mean looking at 10 emails or whatever...

The idea was PL and now Mantra would get information from people they're already intrested in hiring. I don't see how flooding would be a problem with what PL wants from this system. If we wanted to take it to another level I've said lower staff (ZHs,Mods and ERs) could add their opinions and observations into a private forum.

Someone can send a new proposal again for this, I think having it web based would be the best method but email is good enough.
