In this league you will play every team in the league at least once, and if none of them showup there is a very good likelihood you will indeed have the best record. Since those teams will have a -1 and you will have a 1, which is effectively a two point spread. And since I believe there will be about 8 squads and half of them will be in the playoffs, it shouldn't be that hard to get into the playoffs if you win all your games, whether it be by forfeit or actually winning. The rule is mostly intended to discourage people from not showing up and should not be a problem if people do make their games as the preseason should help with.

Well, then the problem lies that they won't get a fair seeding. Even if they do make the playoffs, they'll probably be 3-4 rather than 1-2. Secondly, why punish the team that did nothing wrong? Make it so that a win gives you 2, loss gives you 0, and a no show gives you -1, or something to that effect. You can't punish a squad for doing everything right, and their opponent was a no show. Give equal points/value for winning a game, whether by default or by earning. Many problems will arise when you don't do this, as near the end of the season, squads which have clinched playoffs, or impossible to be in the playoffs may manipulate the outcome of playoffs by having intentional no-shows.

As well, I have a question, if all the league hosts are from Meta or U_S, then, when Meta plays U_S, won't whoever hosts the game have a bias towards one of those squads? As well, whenever I play Meta or U_S, I don't want their own player to host/ref the game, nor do I think other squads want this. You need refs from at least 3 different places, not 2, otherwise the honesty and the quality of reffing can be in question. Just letting you know about this as well

One of the rules ... doesn't that in theory mean that if one team already hasn't made playoffs, they could fix it so another team only gets 1 point, meaning they don't make playoffs/dont make first place.

Giving less points for a forfeit or no show win is just stupid. I hope that isn't gonna stay like that -_-

I remember seeing that rule whenever they were first posted and I absolutely agree with you. Honestly, lets say every team you play doesn't show up, but you are the best team in the league. What happens, you might just get cut short of the playoffs and never make it in because of other people. I honestly want to see a traditional W - L style, its simple but the most effective. Any rule that unevenly distributes points like this should be done away with as it is absolutely unfair to the team who had all intention to play. I'm going to find out some opinions on this and hopefully get a change in the rule. Thanks for bringing this up

The statistics for each game will record goals for and goals against for each team. A win is worth +2 points in the standings. A loss is worth +.5 points. A forfeit is worth 0 points, and a no show is -1. Win by forfeit or no show is worth 1 point.

EDIT: oh ya, games arent to First to 10/winby2, its a 20 minute game. Whoever has the most goals (doesnt need to winby2) wins.

especially people on brainwave/benelux/schnitzels (who have decent sized squads)

I can safely tell you that half of bw's roster don't even know how to play sb xD they just joined cause Mido asked them to join :P
