About the rule, I think its absolutely essential to make the league as fair as possible, and when you have a loose string that could possibly be abused, I suggest that it is best to remove it completely, rather than this be a problem later on in the future

Snipe, I agree, I'd think 10 would be a nice place to cap it, but Meta and U_S are just over that number, so 12 probably would make a nice number for a roster cap. A roster cap would be fair for the league, as it would force the production of a few more teams, as well as to the player, since less people would be on the bench waiting for an opportunity to play. Though, long as none of the captains try to create a GiantTiger for the SBL, we should be fine without a cap as well.

In this league you will play every team in the league at least once, and if none of them showup there is a very good likelihood you will indeed have the best record. Since those teams will have a -1 and you will have a 1, which is effectively a two point spread. And since I believe there will be about 8 squads and half of them will be in the playoffs, it shouldn't be that hard to get into the playoffs if you win all your games, whether it be by forfeit or actually winning. The rule is mostly intended to discourage people from not showing up and should not be a problem if people do make their games as the preseason should help with.

Say we're coming towards the end of the season ... all the days have been played except 1. I'm assuming that all the games won't be played at the same time, so it's safe to assume we could be in a position where 4 th place has played all their games and 5th place has one left right?

5th place could have a game against 8th place squad which knows they haven't made playoffs. Let's say 5th place needs 2 points to be guanteed a playoff spot. 8th place squad could say, "I don't want that squad to make the playoffs, so lets do a no show so they can only get 1 point. That means they won't make the playoffs."

Fair? I think not. That's the kinda way this rule could be easily abused and the main problem I have with it. It is also quite a possible way to abuse the rule, not like it's unlikely -_-

BUT, there Are other squads out there.. meta and u_s have enough :P
