you say crts are worthless, so why would i go out and buy one? a- i've tried old ones, most are too dark to see now, they're so old, b-it won't fit on my desk, c- i have a perfectly fine 15" lcd monitor

no, no, no, no, most 19" lcds ARE NOT LESS THAN $100 IN A STORE. seriously, go out of your house, go to any electronics dept, they're 100-300 dollars, easily.

There's no need to "get with the times" in a 10 yr old game, it's obviously not designed to work with widescreens

i have a job, not enough free time, and 100 dollars would be much better spent on bills (or weed for that matter) than a monitor i'd just use to play continuum (how's that for free time on your hands).

People spend money on their computers to play other games which mostly support widescreen resolutions, people dont just play continuum, they play other games as well and other zones on continuum support widescreen resolutions.

Can those with LCD widescreens not play on 1280 x 1024? is that why they keep whining that they will "finally enjoy playing again?" i used to be able to and now i can't, but i havent stopped enjoying the game.

My screen happens to have a set pixel limit. At max, it can go 1440x900. Which means 1280x1024 is impossible because the bottom of the screen is cut off, while the width is stretched. Not to mention... it's a laptop screen. Replacing it is a little bit of an issue. Especially since I'm not exactly going to go and buy a second screen for the purpose of Continuum.

When I play on a widescreen monitor I always getting pwned from underneath, or something up top. Dunno any real solutions though, I voted yes

PL can we do something about this issue now. It's not a landslide either way for yay or nay so why can we at least try it out in Pub's or Elim. Then revote in a month and see how it's affect the "Total Population".

raise it to 1600x1200 and 1680x1050.

if nothing else, ATLEAST implement 1440x900, playing stretched out on an LCD is über gay.

also, to those that cant play above 1280x1024, what century is your computer from? my desktop is just over 5 years old and i can do 1680x1050 on LCD or 1920x1200 on my 5 year old CRT.

On my laptop i can go upto 1680x1050 and it only has a 16inch screen.

The image is distorted on a widescreen without that, and the pixels are actually less than current max resolution. So 1400x900 shouldn't be unreasonable. It's basically our max resolution for widescreen users so they don't get crappy pictures on their superior monitor.

Widescreens should be implemented. And Left_Eye, the poll doesn't take into account widescreen. Try to get another poll going and you'll see it's definitely in demand.

people vote that we should keep the resolution as it is, but im sure most of them agree we can add widescreen support, currently there are no allowed default resolutions thata are 16:10 scale (which is standard for many, if not most widescreen monitors)

as people previously said, 1440x900 is smaller in total area than 1240x1024

slightly better horisontal view for widescreen and slightly better vertical in normal!

If you are a good player and realize that although it's OVERALL less pixels on wide-screen the advantage you gain in side to side fighting IF you are SMART enough to use this to your advantage it does create an unfair situation, even if it's less than 5% that's an impact in a game such as a TWLJBD Final.

I have a wide-screen as well, try to be unselfish and realize what I'm saying.

But surely its been unfair for the last 5 years for people who couldnt get 1280x1024 i dont see why allowing widescreen would be anydifferent.
