So, here, post your ideas, suggestions, comments, bug reports, etc. Relivant topics include : ship leveling, abilities, specializations, hosting periods, balancing issues, gameplay overall.

Irrelivant things / topics not to be discussed are : flaming, how lame distension is and how we should all give up life, random criticism without reasonable support, whining that distension isnt hosted more (:P)

In the first post.... cmon, leave the shit talking in the other threads there are on this forum, I want to keep this thread about distension gameplay like it was for 6 pages or so.

Yo Stab you can't deny the fact that when S2C Weapon lags changes from 0.0 and 0.1 before games to -0.1 to -1.0 before and after Distension is running that is it probably distension.... it obviously puts strain on the server, doing all the rearmaments, keeping track of RP etc.

ok, i'll be expecting your dissertation on "How Distension affects a 1% packetloss in my personal connection".

be sure to include all the tables and charts and shit. use some colors too.

just for the record, how long have you been testing this, how often do you check the lag, and how many times are you doing this when distension's not running as a control?

please don't reply to that, because I know as soon as you got one reading to go in your favor you quit and jumped on the forums to spread your fear-mongering.

If it was really a problem, MMaverick or Qan or someone similar with knowledge about the bot and the servers would be rescuing us, not the almight wark.

or just reban Kthx until it's running 24/7 with no problems after TWL. That would fix all the compaints about server lag, or at least all the correlations to distension he's cooked up. I mean, we didn't have these shitfest threads when he was unbanned... We didn't have idiots posting BS just to instigate fights.

Oh, and the only difference betwen "beta" and the public release is the "#" in front of the arena name, allowing people to see it on the esc+a list...

Someone just mentioned in Distchat that Terr, Spid and Shark get extra playtime in the queing system.
imho this is completely unjust and here are some reasons why.

1)The whole basing premise is that each ship has its own unique role and is equally important.

2)Terr, Spid and Shark are already ahead of the other ships in Rank. This will further widen the gap and create an imbalance where these ships have a clear and definite superiority over the others..

3)So a Terr gets extra playtime.. that just means the terr sitting in spec has to wait longer.. effectively it is useless.

Who told you this? I see nothing in the code that suggests that is the case, so I think you're just repeating BS that someone else spewed. Besides, I guarantee you wouldn't be complaining if you played one of the three ships you incorrectly believe gets more play time than the others. :P

Congrats on once again using Distension as a scapegoat for all of TW's problems because what you're insinuating isn't entirely true. Yes, it's recycled the zone before, but qan has made steps toward remedying that, AND I was sitting in spec the other day when Distension hadn't been run for days, and the zone magically recycled out of the blue. Of course, people started screaming at Distension, which literally made me laugh out loud when I first saw it.

One of the bigger reasons some of the 'anti-distension' fanatics became this way is because everyone moans that Distension has caused every single problem no matter what it is (I heard Distension caused 9/11) . If you can't find a TWDD game, it's clearly Distension. If you have a bit of packetloss, yeah, that's Distension alright. No games are being hosted? I guess that's because of Distension. Let's ignore the fact that all of these things happened before Distension came around and happen still when it's not running.

OK raizin, but you can only DD between the hours of 2AM and 8 AM, and then again from 3PM to 4:30 PM.

I am a terr and I do not have to wait extra time...I just play another ship until a terr slot is open. I normally do not have to wait long for someone to change ships.
