Seriously though, yes, this isn't a magical project that will be finished tommorow, next week, or next month. The whole system will be evolving as we go through the development process - and ?go Feine is where is starts.

I filled your inbox earlier but i don't know if you liked it.

It would be good to have some more info, not necessarily a FAQ, but some idea of how people's submisions will work so they can change them to suit the game. Things like where doors/entrances should be placed and how things should be designed depending on whether they're residential or commercial etc.

Q: Is space limited?
A: Yes! The city is divided into a little over one-hundred plots for houses or shops. As players submit their houses and their choice of location they will gradually become unavailable. It's been 2 days and they've been filling up fast.

Q: When is the deadline?
A: Right now there isn't an official deadline - but literally if you snooze you lose. The house submissions are coming in fast enough we think the city will be full by the end of next week.

Q: Is there a minimum on how big corridors should be?
A: Well, if you want your house to be functional, I would think that two tiles wide is appropriate.

Q: Do you reserve the right to alter houses if the tileset changes or if the overall house doesn't fit the desired plot?

Q: Does it matter where I place doors and stuff?
A: I would design my shop like I would in RL if I really wanted customers. I would suggest putting them nearest the street as you can see your lot on citydesign.lvl

Do tiles in homes or shops serve a function other then astheitc value?

Example:

I submit a Commecrial plot that is a swordsmithy, does putting the little sword icon it make it weapon realted shop? Would adding multiple treasure chest or suits of armor raise my home insurance rates?

I knew it. that the past tense of reading was 'red' but I thought red is also a colour so if I type 'red' mabye they wil think I wrote a coulour so I wrote Readed to be sure everyone would understand it

Good questions, but I believe we've covered those before.
Rather than launch into a detailed explanation I'll cover some key points.

First, http://harumi.twzone.net does explain every dimension for the plots so you know how much you can and can't build.
At the same address you will find a file called 'zoning kit' which contains a copy of the sample houses, official tileset (used on the sample houses), and a citydesign.lvl which contains just the layout of the plots with their addresses.

So, let's say you wanted to build a house. You'd click through the website and you'd realize you have two size choices: R1 or R2, the first one is 20x20 and the second is 40x40. You'd download the zoning kit, find the top three places you'd like to place your home, and then open up the samples to take a look.

Then just erase those samples or make a new file with that tileset and zip it up, send it to me, and we'll include it. The website does explain that R2 and Commercial2 (which is for businesses) are subject to approval by the dev staff while the small houses and shops just get checked for size reqs.
