Im sure all the people who vote for NO limit should AT LEAST agree to a roster limit of say 50 (and thats being very generous to you biches). There needs to be a cap for sustainability purposes.

Also, just as a side note, paladen is a horrible squad atm jessup. You and jebass and whoever else running it has ruined it. You ought to step aside and invite some of the older captains back who ran it properly before.

i shouldn't even need to explain why this is stupid. it's been well covered already. but here's my take on it. twd is a fuck-around and have fun "league" that absolutely does not require a roster cap. twd has been around for how many years now? and it's kept on running just fine without a roster cap. the same thing happens every off season. things get all shaken up. a bunch of new squads pop up. some squads balloon to huge roster sizes. but then come twl, everyone breaks back up into the same old squads that return year after year (dice, thunder, etc) plus a few new ones. the roster sizes trim back down because people want twl playing time.

this is a system that works. nothing about it is broken. and you know what they say about stuff that isn't broken.

witness, wtf are you thinking man? i don't give a shit about the results of this poll. listen to the voice of the players, not a bunch of anonymous voting from joe schmoe newbie. i'm willing to bet a large percentage of the people voting for the cap haven't been around for very long to see how the twd/twl systems operate in tandem.

disoblige is a perfect example as to why it won't work, and might has already explained this situation. allow me to reiterate.

many long-standing squads have an established membership. these players are not going to want to split up into smaller groups and hop on smaller no-name squads. they are old timers who log on occasionally to play a match or two and chat with friends. it is these players who push a squad's roster to a larger size.

a roster cap alienates these players, and that's wrong. why punish people who have stuck around the game all these years and still contribute to the spirit of the game, all in favor of what? what do roster caps even accomplish? do they create more competition? who cares? it's twd! and personally, i don't think a roster limit will stimulate competition. it'll just cause a lot of people to stop playing twd entirely.

what else does a limit accomplish? please explain to me what the positives are? there's a huuuuge negative, and as far as i can tell, nothing positive outweighs that negative.

Meh, I still think squads should be capped but allowed to have a bigger roster depending on how long they have stayed alive. Can't really tell you have inactive 'vet's' on a 2 month old squad can you.

I voted for 35 player roster cap and I stand behind the vote mainly for reasons that are scattered throughout the thread already...not gonna say specifically why cause I don't wanna listen to everyone try and tell me what I should think

As the vote is so close, maybe some sort of happy medium should be discussed? Maybe something along the lines of "Reserve" players like in professional sports? certainly we'd need to talk about the specifics here but I'm sure many people can come up with good ideas

I want to see the votes first, because I am pretty sure this is rigged as it was a blowout for no limit until the 500th day of voting (today being the 10th year of voting) and then all the sudden random votes started pouring in just enough to keep the shitty option a viable choice without anyone posting their reasoning in the thread.

Theres just overwhelming negativity to this change. If you want a change that will benefit this game, remove FCs from TWDD arenas. This has been brought up again and again and the community has voted to remove them with no luck whatsoever. Im pretty sure theres some bullshit going on with the voting as well, seeing as how every major squad has voted not to allow this.
