I find it a little funny that in a2m's other topic in this forum he said he let untap join because he's friends with merce in rl. Now in this topic you got Century saying -

Sounds like some people can't get there stories straight. So why wouldn't the squad caps tell the members that he was merce's friend instead of a player they found in .?go base? Seems a little twisted to me, like some people were in on it, and im sure a lot more knew about it then just the caps.

Well, merce, that was a serious #### up. But, apparently numerous squad members were aware of merce being aliased. Why wouldn't you rat him out? I mean really, perhaps if you didn't let him go so long that he would play in a TWL Game, Shriek would still be able to play TWL. There was always a rumor going around that it was merce, but it was never confirmed. I feel sorry for the Shriek members who had nothing to do with it, and didn't know untap was merce. Those who knew about him are at fault almost as much as merce, I don't know understand why you didn't just tell a TWL Coordinator about it before you got kicked from TWL. Defiancy in TWLB.. ehm..

About all of the squads joining TWL, people have suggested to vote on it and so forth. I don't think that we should let squads in judging by votes, or personal opinions, otherwise what would be the point of TWD? It's implemented for this very reason, a concrete measurement of a squad's experience and credentials.

Century you have and may say something else that you will regret. I would stop since you know you're reaching further and further into the shit pile.

Whoever had the points at the time of Shriek's official disqualification should get the spot, bottom line.

I feel sorry for those who genuinely didn't know about this whole situation, but on the other hand I am skeptical on their lack of judgement. Sorry Shriekers, I really do hope you get what you want, regardless of your carelessness.

Finally, although the squads who have lost versus Shriek before their disqualification may be angry, There is after all another spot open for playoffs, because God knows the entering squads won't make playoffs lolol. Hope you new squads have some fun with this, and actually show up!

PS. Escalate has the only good idea, and that was to void all the matches Shriek has played up until now, and the remaining games they have to play on top of that. I too think they should void the games Shriek has played until now, along with their upcoming matches.

Seriously, it's amazing what one person can do to a squad. Maybe an alteration of some rules would be fitting, Push. At least for next season.
Because to be quite honest, on one hand some Shriekers probably had no idea whatsoever, but on the other, they can all add 1 and 1, and knew what they were getting into when they joined Shriek. :/

All in all, this is terrible, merce is dumb, and Pirates 4 T.W.L.

Too Bad this had to happen at this time of the season in Twl, but nevertheless congrats to the twd squads that are now in the leagues, just finish the last (i believe) three weeks and gain experience, win or lose, its still good to see how twl is, and to learn for next season, so stop bashing squads that try and get in twl, even though they lose all their games. Players are still trying and such, and its unfair to put them down because their skill level is lower than the more elite squads in TW. Anyways, lets all have fun in the rather end of the season, and good luck to the squads in contention for playoffs

replacement squads this late in the season are stupid. what should happen at this point and would be most fair, is that every team that plays shriek from now on gets a forfeit win AND every team that ever played shriek this season gets their win/loss changed to a forfeit win. just completely erase their impact on the leagues. because the 3 teams that have a loss against them are being screwed.

but what about the squads that weren't scheduled to play shriek? They wont have the benefit of a free win. Either way its unfair to someone.

We pretty much make sure nothing like this would happen to us. it's nice that you casually let unknown people who are friends of your players irl in the squad but we'd never let someone in who isn't using their main name and/or has a reputation. Maybe you've forgotten that since you're time with us

On a side note, I agree 350% with Escalate's suggestion. If you allow the results of Shriek's previous games to stand, you're decimating the integrity of the league. Considering how much +/- factors in playoff seedings, you give a ridiculously large advantage to those squads who have yet to face Shriek. You might say a win is a win and a loss is a loss, but not in this case. There are stats behind those wins and losses that are a part of the picture.

Century, where the fuck do you get off bitching at staff? Honestly, you've got a lot of nerve. It is in no way WHATSOEVER staff's responsiblity to babysit squads. As Nick said, staff enforces rules. If there's a problem, we step in, take a look at the situation and take the appropriate action. And furthermore, if you and your fellow squaddies were suspicious enough to ask for an IP check, and yet still allowed untap to START FOR YOU IN YOUR TWL MATCHES, you deserve what you got. That's just fucking moronic on your part.

And here's the sucker punch to finish it off. Everyone knows damn well Shriek has ALWAYS played dirty. Whether it be double squadding, lagcheating, or just plain acting like shitheads and pushing the envelope, trying to break every rule you can think of... You guys fucked with the karma horse and it bucked your sorry asses off and sent you flying into the shit pile. Good fucking game.
