Anyway, off the Cig Smoke topic, the Pallies/Disoblige merger will have advantages and disadvantages. I don't know all the squads and how good they are anymore, but taking two good squad and combining their best will make a great squad. However, some people will be left out, and that's never good. I'd like to see how this will work out, but if it will have a bad effect on TWL I wouldn't be in favor of it.

Again, I really have no idea what effects it will have on TWL because I've been gone for so long.

I'm pretty sure it will enhance the competition in TWL. The reason to merge was not to make a super squad with the best players of the two squads, but more to have some fun, and keep the squads alive. I can't speak for Pallies' part, but all active disobliggers who want to play TWL, will make it to the Dispalogies roster. And most of the people who want to play TWL, like the idea of merging.

And having one good competitive squad is always better than two half-assed ones.

Maybe we'll play season 9 as two different squads again, time will tell.

I'm not really knowledgable with current ongoings, so I can't comment on if I think it will enhance the quality of TWL or bring it down.

However, they are your squads, you're free to do as you wish with them.

It's a shame someone had to leak out the information and create this uproar. However, in the end, he didn't hurt anyone but himself.

I feel that the merger is going to make the new squad rather competitive, but I just feel sorry for all the poor bastards left off the TWL roster. Otoh, the merger might also result in people leaving, which would be a good thing for squads who have been blaming Diso/Pallies for hogging all the talent. However, I can't help but to think that Diso/Pallies leaders took the easy way out: Instead of practicing and getting a recruit or two they went for a merger, which might destroy both squads for good.

Disoblige of old will never come back, I'm afraid, especially with the old core inactive/gone/left off the new Dispalogies roster. I understand their feelings, though. Disoblige wouldn't have had a chance in twld/twjd with the losses we had, so our hopes would've been mainly in twlb. So...mainly I think the motivation of this merge was to remain a 3 league squad rather than forming some "super squad", like some people believe (as stated by Desperate). Overall, despite my immediate negative feelings, I think this merger will make TWL more interesting with one more title contender jumping into fray and more players becoming free game for other squads (to recruit).

And Bloodzombie: As funny as it is that like Michael Moore, our friend Cig can't see his feet, please don't make fun of him because he's grossly overweight. Honestly man, he has a hard enough time as it is, what with a severly limited lifespan due to morbid obesity, hypertension, congestive heart failure and the works. Not only will he get angina, and shortness of breath early on (maybe he already does), but he'll also die a lot earlier as his heart gives out much earlier than the healthy man that you are bz. He probably already has trouble running, or walking up multiple flights of stairs. Perhaps he even washes himself with a rag on a stick. So don't make fun okay? Have a heart.
