your squad fuckin sucks, get over it newbie. if you had been winning, you wouldn't be complaining about this.
Another sk8 member has spoken.
I think we have enough Sk8 people in this thread attacking me. Do you guys plan on sending all of the 49 people on your roster to make useless comments?

If anyone cares, this is how it all happened from my point of view...
Someone on staff chat said their bot was working, I looked and my bot was fine... kept looking at scoreboard and noticed a few seconds later that my bot wasn't recording scores. So, to check to see if it was lag or just bot died, I pm'd my bot with !help and waited.. when it returned the whole help list about 10 seconds later I arena'd that the bot was lagging a bit but to keep playing.
A bit later the bot completely stopped responding and when I checked the score was something like 34-13 so I started hosting manually. When I saw someone get to 9 deaths I had :<name>:*spec ready for when they hit 10. There was only one time that two people were on 9 at the same time so I type'd out a *spec for one player, copied it, deleted, typed the *spec for the other player and managed to get both of them out of the game within about 1/2 a second of them dying.
The only time anyone stayed in past the time they should've been out was the last kill since I was talking on staff chat about recording the game or not and didn't notice the guy but even if he did get an extra kill in there I don't think Sk8 is going to complain since they still won 50-25.
The game was not close by any means and in the second round UF was beat by 14 kills.
So, all I have to say is quit whining, there was no way you were going to win that match.
I'd say it was very much the correct decision to keep hosting manually since there was no reason not to do so. It's something any competent host would do when the game has already proceeded that far.
Veni Vidi Visa - I came, I saw, I did some shopping.
Also did some game development. Check out this horror adventure game if you like point'n'clicks.

Ikrit, I entirely understand your point of view, but the fact that sk8 was 21-8 when the bot crashed was irrelevent.
Whenever problems like this happen, games are restarted. There is no reason for that not to happen to us. As for the 2nd round, we were obviously dissapointed with what transpired in the first round, so it affected the game.
The point is that even if one team is winning by 10 points, if a major bot crash like that happens so early in the game, there needs to be a restart (which is exactly what had happened to other games so far in this season).
The bot died early in the game (within the first 5 minutes!), and we didnt know whether to continue playing or not, and by the time we found out the damage had already been done.
If the rules said that after a major bot crash early in the game that the host would "manually host" the remainder of the game, I wouldn't be writing this appeal. However the rules say that in the event of a failure, the game should be restarted.
I'm just going by the rules, and on simple logic (maybe if the bot had died in the last 10 seconds of the game, that would have been a slightly different case).
