He is too dangerous to leave alive which is why he ends up dead or otherwise targeted on a lot of N1 phases. I get it, and to be clear we're playing Devil's Advocate here, but you'd really use it night 1 if it was an x-shot? I could see if your strongman as almost certainly going to be lynched the next day, you use it just to use it. But if it's an x-shot I'm saving that for when town is starting to get their shit together and making plans around their doctor. Exalt is obviously a night action magnet, which is why the 3 of us all targeted him, I don't argue with that aspect of it at all. Maybe I'm just overvaluing strongman kills.

These situations where it's 50/50 are always tough. That's when it's time to look back and see how people have been playing. One has been lurking and "throwing away" votes on townies, and one has been out there battling and trying to scumhunt, even if I was wrong in the end. Who's more likely scum? I love the Willby game.

2. Town Psychiatrist is a hilarious fakeclaim. Anyone who doesn't say "bullshit" verbally while reading it... wel, you get the point. Not to mention there was not even two kills so we don't even have any indication that there is an SK.

We have equal confirmation that there is a serial killer as we do that there is a mafia, or a cop, or any of these roles. I offered 3 explanations, and your response is "nah"?

What rubs me the wrong way is Willby's second post you quote in that link. Vetting people is obviously a good thing before someone gets lynched, but trying to move pressure around just to force multiple claims isn't really beneficial to town. Mafia benefits from knowing who has what role to plan out targets and potential protections from doctors. Town wants power roles to stay quiet until they have something concrete. It's not really something damning, but it definitely rubs me the wrong way, especially at that early stage of the game.

And the rest of us need to understand that collectively we need to see this through. We have a 50:50 chance here, if we guess wrong today and lynch the innocent one, the other one has to go tomorrow. We can't let ourselves get conned with some ninja assassin bullshit that can get cooked up overnight and let whoever it is off the hook. If there ends up being a ninja and town loses, I'll take all of the blame for shitting the bed. But we've seen this play out before where someone weasels out of the fire with some outlandish story that works because there are 800000 mafia roles in existence. And either one of these guys is capable of pulling off something convincing enough to make people waver.

Either Voth is lying about his role, or Halp has failed the mechanics of the game. Barring some crazy role like day-cop-with-a-gun, these are the only two scenarios.

There's only one explanation I can see for how I got a "Successful" result on Jailkeeping Exalt but he died anyway when both Willby and I visited him: Willby is scum Strongman. I don't even know why he's muddying the waters here with a Ninja suggestion, that's just a role where you can't be seen doing the action at night.

I just can't believe that WillBy killing Exalt as a strongman on N1 is more plausible than Voth just pulling a role out of his ass that fits the narrative and frames WillBy. It was just a bad choice of role because it creates utter incredulity.

What I think happened :

More than one kill was attempted last night, this game and flavour is too big for just 2 factions.

Voth is scum/third party killer and visited Exalt and killed him.
WillBy might not be that innocent in himself. Might be a recruiter or something else.
Other scum/third party killer had their kill blocked. Could it be Kthx? He's the only one we know that got blocked.

So T_P, yes Voth and Willby are candidates. I still think Kthx is too, just going on the numbers I can't believe we've only got 2 factions with killing abilities.

What are your thoughts on the Mafia getting shut out if this is true? That the kthx roleblock we heard about prevented them from getting a kill? A doctor got lucky?

If there are any other town power roles considering claiming: don't. We have enough to lynch 1 killer today, we don't need another power role to protect and more information on other players to sort through.

I don't disagree, but for today one of these 2 clearly killed Exalt, which makes them guilty. There are definitely other suspicious people that can't be let to fly under the radar, and you're probably right about having more than 2 factions, but we're never going to have better odds of lynching someone anti town than we do right now. It would be great if I had seen only 1 person visit Exalt last night, but I can't complain about 50/50. Also it would be harder to corroborate my claim and results, so that part would be annoying. Voth, to his credit, admitted to visiting Exalt immediately and didn't even try to deflect it or not address it.
