To look into this quote one may make this generaliztion as to why the wording of "ostentatious prick".

The previous term or history behind this wording would lead to the phrase that one would be "esquire"...and archaic term meaning a landed gentleman of the gentry, though not of the nobility. You very rarely see it used nowadays as it simply isn't posh to have something attached to your name that says you have money anymore...you have to actually be an ostentatious prick to be posh now.

Well, I saw this before I left... Yea, I don't use that word in my everyday use, I was really just being facetious...

So when you want to really discuss economics and politics based upon North America. Just remember how much the Canadian dollar would purchase for you here in the States prior to NAFTA, back in the late 80's early 90's. I think it was worth 30cents to 1 US Dollar.

I love my Canadian neighbors. Don't get me wrong, but there is alot of crap left out when you look back at the economics of late. Too much to just sum up in this ridiculous post.

Just to fill in some of the numbers: the Canadian dollar closed off at the end of the 80s at 0.8632 USD. It's now at 0.8356 but reached an all-time low of 0.6522 in 1998, the same year the phasing out of the original Can-US FTA was completed.
