Just got off the phone to Kathryn. It's going to cost her £80 ($160) to come down to Portsmouth for the night from Oxford, which is fairly pointless. She can't get to the train station as one of her parent's friends died so they're at a funeral, all her friends who drive are working tomorrow and Alex isn't able to go. She was going to go down to Southampton this week and then just travel across on the friday, but she wasn't able to do that either. And Kat can't make it either because her car's been classified as a death trap. Work and meetings mean she can only get it fixed tomorrow, so unless they find a miracle cure in one day tomorrow neither of them are coming down. Sod's fucking law

i just went to subway and got their new hot pastrami sub, and it was pretty disgusting. i love pastrami, but not pastrami thats 70% fat/cartilage, as subways was. subway has the worst service of any fast food restaurant by far, the people that work there are supposedly "sandwich artists" that are there to serve you, but if you want too many things on their subs they glare at you and try to close the sub after each item you try to add, and start intentionally making their accents/eubonics worse so that youre intimidated. they are also bastards about their coupons, i had one that was for 2 subs for 8.00, so my girlfriend got some boring thing but i got the most expensive sub on the menu, the chicken bacon doublecheese whatever. i figured it would be 4.00 since it was a sub and my coupon was for 2 subs for 8.00. wrong. even though the sub was on the menu and i didnt order anything extra on it, she charged me an extra 2.00 for bacon and some other crap. i said, "uhh, that was supposed to be 8.00, not 10.00" and she said "you got bacon". i said, "uh, the coupon says 2 subs for 8.00. see that up there? its on the menu. thats a sub. it should be 4.00. i didnt order any extra bacon, and the coupon doesnt say anything about charging extra for subs with bacon on them." her response was "you got bacon" and she looked like she was about to titty-box me, so i just gave up. i never know how to react when some minimum-wage person is just such a dumb bitch, i should have thrown the sub in her face but i paid the extra two bucks. this kind of shit happens to me all the time at subway, i should never go there.
