That doesn't answer the question. When Tone asks a dumb question you have to answer it. Especially when he quotes a source run by people equally as nerdy as he is to back up his stupid reasoning.

So here's my answer. If we did that God would think something like this.

I can say this with certainty because I am God.

I can honestly say that I'm scared of what the mind will do when you die. I mean you're thinking of dying right now, but when you actually die, you exist through the memories of others, but yourself, where are you then? I think society works the mind in thinking too much over this matter. We always overanalyze everything (we being humans unless you ain't one)

The brain releases massive amounts of N,N-Dimethyltryptamine (DMT) from the pineal gland at the moment of death. DMT is a serotonin analog naturally found in humans, many animals and dozens of plants that is one of the most power hallucinogenic drugs known to man. it is hypothosized that this is the mechanism of the near death experience. doctor rick straussman discusses this and the results of his human experiements in detail in his book DMT: Spirit Molecue

What is your mind made up of? I mean, your parents donated two cells, so where did the rest of you come from?

You grew, and you growth is derived from nutrients. We are made up of elements like carbon, oxygen, hydrogen, etc. Where did these elements come from? At the risk of sounding like Carl Sagan, we are made up of star stuff. Your brain is made up from recycled elements from the universe. When you die, your brain is simply recycled again.

yeah, but with new technology, how can you be sure it will work? i mean, has anyone ever created a nanobot (that the word?) yet?

My father in law was telling me over Thanksgiving about this amazing bartender at some bar he frequented who could shake a martini and fill it to the rim with no leftovers and he thought it was the coolest thing he'd ever seen. I then proceeded to his home bar and made four martinis in one shaker with unfamiliar glassware and a non standard shaker and did the same thing. From that moment forward I knew he had no compunction about my cock ever being in his daughter's mouth.

have you ever thought that if you cease all thought and feeling and simply have a sense of being conscious, it is the exact same consciousness as anyone else behind their thoughts and feelings?

To put it plainly, I was anxiously looking forward to it until I figured out my long term life goals.

I don't really believe in an "afterlife", in the sense of reality as we currently understand it, but I do believe there is something else after death.

Being afraid of death was somewhat of a childish fear that I had. Like most perceptions of the world when we are young, time causes the view to develop and change into something different. I can honestly say that death in itself does not scare me. Now I am afraid of dying and having lead a life with no purpose.

I once saw somethign on TV and it said the most probable time for the world being stuck by an asteroid and wiping us all out was at 4:36pm one day.

I was in fear for about a month and when the day came, I was in this right shithole called Morcambe. Don't ask me what I was doing there, I was just there.

The clock stuck 4:36pm and the world didn't get smashed by a huge rock. Thank god I didn't die in Morcambe.

                                EDIT: I was 8 years old. k.
