Abortion debate: who cares?

im very pro-choice and i pretty much think people that are pro-life are stupid, assholes, or both. i think in order to have a pro-life bumper sticker on your car you should have to adopt at least one child. great, its not your problem, and you read a book that says its wrong. so dont do it yourself and leave everyone else alone. im not saying that people should just fuck willy nilly and get abortions all the time, anyone that would do that is an asshole also, but in certain situations its neccessary. we know you cant get laid epi, so abstinance is a good option for you (ZING!) but for those of us that can find a partner and do try methods of birth control that sometimes fail, its good to know that theres an option to end the life of something with the intelligence of an ameoba as opposed to ruining the lives of mother, father, and the child said ameoba would grow up to become if you bible thumpers had your way.

by the way, i think second and third trimester abortions are pretty fucked up, im talking about killing a tiny fetus, not a partially developed baby. im not sure exactly where i draw the line, probably somewhere in the second trimester i guess.

Okey, consider yourself as the baby that is going to get aborted, or what should I say killed. Are you happy that you won't make it into this world? What if your mother would have considered aborting you, what if she would have done it? How would you feel about it?

It is so easy to understand why abortion is wrong, not matter what selfish reason you would make you abort one's life. Those who choose abortion actually commits a murder. I've seen picture of abortion babies, and it aint a pretty sight, why don't you check some pictures out for yourself and open your blind eyes.

As the baby who isn't yet born, I myself wouldn't care. (But I can't speak for others)By christian standards one of the most holy people is an aborted child, because they have not sinned.
I believe that death is not the final end for anything, or anyone. A child that is not born will not miss things it does not know exists, eg the whole world. At worst it will miss consciousness, (and perhaps feel a little pain), which by my beliefs (consciousness) is independant of life.
But that doesn't mean I'd support a late pregancy abortion.

And I asure you that I would love that child as much as my other grandchildren. Of course I would respect my daughter's choice what to do, since its her life.

You don't have the minimal idea of what you are talking about... if your daughter didn't suicided after you forcing her doing that she would probably be on deep depression for the rest of her life... i wonder if some persons even think before typing stuff like that. Do you even know how much psichological trauma a rape causes to a girl! It saddens me to think that someone could actually be forced to do something like that <_<

Yes it is living, unsure about its consciousness though... theres nothing very 'scientific' about consciousness unless you get onto brain development in later stages. I can't understand it caring unless it is conscious though, although I respect the view that every potential life should be allowed to live, even if I do not strictly agree with it. My personal philosophy is that life has no end, death is simply the beginning of a new life. It keeps me awake at night. Maybe the christian philosophy is better, but I'm happy with mine because... well, because its mine. (even if others have similar views)
So this is basically where we come to a standstill, as DoTheFandago said. But this point has a point to it: I feel better about humanity in general (well you guys anyway). You're not all as evil as some people make out.

I know what I'm talking about.. and as theif of time said, I _would not_ force her. And I can just imagine what kind of shock it is to get raped and how much it hurt the victim.

Just wanted to point this out real fast, but because of original sin through Adam and Eve everyone is born with sin.
