didn't think batman purposefully went for dent, i thought the joker just fucked with him and said they were in the wrong spot. maybe i missed that. also i really hope ann hathaway doesn't get catwoman. she annoys the fuck out of me.

Part of Harvey's madness comes from his mentality of making his own luck. When you suffer an extreme tragedy one of the main instinctual feelings you have is how unfair it is that you have to suffer. With his face, the coin, and the loss of his girl he found out that his previous pursuits would never make things fair. He couldn't bring complete justice by being a District Attorney, so he took matters into his own hands and made chance his master.

can someone sum up the ending after [spolier] Two face take's gordon's kid captive. I don't know how i managed to forget what happened (guess i was too enthralled with the 1st half of the movie). What happens at the end? How does batman save the kid and what does harvey do? been pissing me off for days. [/spoiler]???

Harvey flipped for Batman and he got tails (he shot Batman). He then flipped for himself (heads, he lives) and he was about to flip for Gordon's son or Gordon himself when Batman ran at him while Gordon distracted him, caught the kid before falling off the ledge and Two Face fell to his death. After that Batman and Gordon plan to blame Two Face's killings on Batman to keep his image clean. People need someone without a mask to believe in and to believe that they can stand up to corruption without one.

The thing about his two face ego is that no matter what he always accepts the flip of the coin. I think if he got tails he would have shot himself. I think TK is right using his daughter would have been better. The MPAA might have given it an R rating for that.

It is only out a couple of days in Europe subtitled, probably less in countries where they had to dub it...

that brings up a point i was thinking about in the theater. the movie was pretty violent for a pg-13. i saw way too many kids < 10 yrs old in there. i guess the parents thought it would be a cartoony batman.
