But if you're going to use one of his kids, why pick the one that has no significance in the comic book lore? It's not the first time Christopher Nolan has done this either.

If you remember from the first film, there was another little boy character whose role was a bit more significant than just a "random little boy", but from all accounts and interviews with Nolan, that's all he turns out to be.

In doing this twice now, it almost seems like Nolan is deliberately avoiding having two characters that Batman fans would expect appearing.

the movie was good but the acting was carried by 1 person, people. Was i the only one who thought everyone other then joker sucked?

I watched it again last night and upon my second viewing I've come to agree with this except for Aaron Eckhart(Harvey Dent) and a few supporting actors such as Michael Caine(Alfred) and Morgan Freeman(Lucius Fox).

Michael Caine is a great actor, he always delivers. Aaron Eckhart was sick, I believe in Harvey Dent. Gary Oldman (Gordon) played his character to a fucking T, and as always Christian Bale is one believable batman.

Ledger might have been outstanding, but this movie wasn't just one person making it what it is.

I liked Christian Bale for the most part, but it's not just the sound of his voice when he's batman that gets to me; it's that he always sounds like he's slobbering with a huge lisp when he's talking. You can tell Batman is Bruce Wayne just by the fact that his upper lip ascends for 6 inches.

As someone said earlier, he has to disguise his voice. It adds to the Batman's menacing image, but don't forget that he's a public figure as Bruce Wayne. His regular voice would be well known in many circles.

my roommate told me that the outfit is actually really tight on christian bale, constricting his neck and shit, hollowing out his eyes and giving him that voice sounds like a demon trying to find life. Bale even said after each scene he would get massive headaches.

Batman had a dark menacing voice anyways, so it's not like he was breaking character.

I just said that it wasn't the dark, menacing part of the voice that really annoyed me. It's the fact that he sounds like his mouth is full of marbles and he's slobbering all over himself. It's usually not that bad, but there are a few scenes([spoilers]like when he's talking to the joker as he's hanging from the building by his foot about harvey[/spoilers]) that are just unbearable. When you see it again look for that at that scene and see if you can disagree.
