Kids are seeing Joker plant C4 in a hospital and put a pencil through someone's eye, then cheering because it was cool. If you don't think this movie promoted violence, then that's just plain ignorance.

I didn't say there was violence, but it didn't fucking promote it.

It's a superhero movie where there is a clear distinction between good guys and bad guys.

Of course bad guys are going to do "bad" stuff.

Why are you all griping on this idea that it is sooooo bad for kids.

FUCK man I watched chucky when I was a kid and I got scared shitless of dolls until I grew up and realized that this is all a bunch of a bullshit and I can just fucking kick the thing if I wanted to.

We don't have joker characters, or poison ivey characters, riddler characters, two-faced characters, mr. freeze characters, nor a fucking batman character.

It's all fucking imaginary and it's based off a comic book of superhero fighting supervillans.

If a kid can't understand that, then by god, that kid will grow up with mental problems. That's like a small number out of many.

YES. that is exactly what I was thinking the whole time.
Eckhart did alright as harvey dent but I think they could have done more with the Two-face character then they did.
That being said. Ledger ruled and the movie gets 15 stars out of 10

I liked Christian Bale for the most part, but it's not just the sound of his voice when he's batman that gets to me; it's that he always sounds like he's slobbering with a huge lisp when he's talking. You can tell Batman is Bruce Wayne just by the fact that his upper lip ascends for 6 inches.

Saw it on Sunday night and it surpassed my expectations. Going in I thought some of the hype regarding Heath Ledger's performance was due to his passing away, but his performance was beyond words except maybe... FUCKING BRILLIANT! The way they actually build something of a past into the Joker's character made it even more believable for me. I also love the way the Joker's crimes kept escalating, keeping me on the edge of my seat and not even noticing the 2.5 hour run time. I thought Iron Man was the best comic book movie of all time, but this one was as close to perfect as anyone can hope for.
