Do you really want to be controlled by a centralized government on another continent, being controlled by a centralized government in another state is bad enough because it doesn't understand the localized views of the state. Which is why states were supposed to hold more power than the Federal government but that has gone down the shitter as the government continues to grow. But considering you are probably on welfare money, I am sure you do want Obama to remain president, so you can continue collecting MORE of my tax dollars.

Hey, I was pretty much right, you are on Parental Welfare instead of Government Welfare. Again, since you don't actually work in America and aren't Taxed you should probably not worry about talking about politics because you have a vested interest in the candidate that offers you the most money, not in the one that offers the best solutions to making America a better country. People from other countries have a backwards ass view of how things work in America. People assume that because not everyone is covered by a government health care plan that people go without medical treatment and care. People think that our citizens go bankrupt or declare bankruptcy over medical bills from going to Emergency Rooms without insurance.

Maybe because this does happen. Maybe because our system is actually broken. Sure, you can go to an emergency room right now with a broken leg, with no insurance, and they will treat you. But you will also be stuck with a bill. Or, god forbid, you get in a car crash by yourself and need an ambulance. An ambulance ride can cost up to $1000, and that's before you even get treatment.

If you can't pay for that stuff, it hurts. Alot. Just ask anyone that doesn't have health insurance.

I wonder where in the blue hell they found those numbers of same-day service. I've never in my life had to wait even a day to be seen until i joined the military, where i had to wait 4 months for surgery on my knee, but again thats not normal US healthcare. It's substandard and everyone knows it. In fact, I dont know anyone whos had to wait more than a few hours for it. Everyone knows not to go to the ER after work hours anyway unless its truly an emergency. If you're feeling sick you wait till the morning. If its an emergency you go to the ER. What doctors office is open past 5 anyway???

So yeah, I'd definitely question that source based off the fact that its common knowledge anyone can get seen same day here

I'll make it simple for you. If that many people were truly reporting that heathcare was terrible in the US then you wouldnt have such an outrage like you do now about changing the system. The people would welcome the change that Obama has promised (and not delivered upon) throughout his campaign. Is that not so simple?

I do find the whole Ambulance thing strange, a friend of mine got accidentally kicked in the face during football (or soccer) when I was there so they called an ambulance (Highly execrated but anyway) it would cost him 500$ to be taken to a hospital that was literally a 15 min walk away. In other words, by car you would get there in under 5 min.

I'm sorry, this is wrong. Hospitals can, and will, go to court to get you to legally owe the money, where a debt collector will set up plans to pay back the money. At that point, it affects your credit.

Imagine if she had a safety net for a situation like that where her VA care didn't come through. I don't know. Maybe some sort of cheap affordable option for the average citizen.

She has free health care through her job in the oil industry, it was just a momentary lapse. And again it isn't like we are in a huge hurry to pay them back, we will win we can, but it isn't like it is going to affect us when we buy a house or anything. A public option isn't needed, government ran health insurance is what fucked it all up in the first place through the VA, so you think that adding another line of government health insurance is going to make things better. That is just ignorant.

THEN OBVIOUSLY THEY WOULDN'T SUE YOU DUMBASS, THERE IS A CASE PENDING. I want you to talk to the (MORE THAN ONE) friends I have that had to DROP OUT OF COLLEGE based on parents'/their medical bills. I want you to talk to my friend who is working now because she is taking care of her sick mom.

This shit is real, and just because it may not affect you (and by the looks of it, it really doesn't), it's unavoidable. Healthcare reform will happen.
