I don't give a shit about this, but to be fair I don't give a shit about celebrities, athletes, politicians or anyone else anymore than my neighbor either. I could honestly give a fuck less about any of them or what they do or what they did.

Was going to bring this up as well, I just got tired of trying.

Despite the news breaking at 4am, I heard straight away and watched Obama's live address at 4.30am. That's because the kind people at Balfour Beatty construction decided what was missing from the view from my balcony was a digger unloading tonnes, upon tonnes, upon tonnes of gravel. At 4am. For two hours. And again at 9am to ensure I had a prompt start to the day, with a smile.

Patriot Act will still exist.
TSA physical intrusions will still exist.
Police state/fascism will continue to be administered.
But at least you guys can fantasize about hollywood-esque combat scenarios whilst humming 'The Warrior Song' and telling yourselves everything will be ok.

Pretty cool read about a Pakistani tech blogger who likely witnessed the OBL attack, completely unaware of what was going on. He tweeted about it last week and no one took notice until the news came together and people realized what he had seen. Good article too.

if amerikuh had left it much longer, natural causes would have helped out in the war against terror.

pretty sure people like tone don't even believe he ever existed, so the challenge is even greater.Originally posted by Epinephrine View PostThe only evidence they need is that Osama will no longer be making any more recordings, and al Queda isn't going to go 'wait a sec he's still alive'!
Nothing else they do will really work because people like Tone will never believe.

You don't really get it. Women aren't allowed to serve in front line combat right now for simple reasons, that doesn't even include whether they are capable or not.Originally posted by vaped View PostI'm just flat saying that SOME women can kick ass and take names and they should be allowed to do so. This is AMERICA for fuck sakes.
For one, if a woman dies on a battlefield, that fucks up morale BIG time. Moral is a HUGE thing in the military, and no soldier wants to see a female die in battle. Also, the amount of pregnancies that happen with women in the military is a pretty big number, and don't think even for a second that when you're stuck out in the middle of nowhere, that male/female soldiers won't be fucking each other. Imagine if a woman was pregnant and got killed in combat. How much of a political firestorm, not to mention the morale factor would that be? It's just too sensitive a subject right now to happen. It's not a question of equality or right and wrong, but of battlefield effectiveness.
Also, women serve in the navy in the surface fleet, and as you can guess, pregnancies there happen all the time too. Also, women don't usually serve their full time in a lot of cases, because they can just get pregnant, and boom, they are out of the military if they so choose. It's sort of unfair in a way, not to mention only the MALE will get in trouble for fraternization and things like that in such cases, which is also a double-standard as well.
I was on a submarine, and there aren't any women allowed there. I mean, unless you watch Down Periscope or something. Women on a sub would get sexually harassed so badly it isn't even funny, and a woman couldn't handle that sort of environment. Trust me. It isn't women friendly, unlike those huge carriers with 5000+ people on them. I think Canada allows women to serve in submarine service though, but... they only have a couple subs in the first place, and I don't know what type of environment they have there.
I'm not saying women shouldn't be allowed, but I know why they aren't anyway.

I'm not being chivalrous or PC, kthx. You're much more politically correct than I am even and that's not saying anything because you're hardly what one would call "PC". As for chivalry, why the fuck would I care about that in a video game forum where as far as I can tell there is only one woman who posts in here?

This thread is unraveling quickly, I'm off to the Hospital -- you can all have fun with this shit 'discussion' and continue to smack your cocks against a brick wall to no avail. I'm done with it.
