WB is basically a tank at the higher lvls. But it's hard to balance the different ships, I definitely wouldn't want the WB to be anymore powerful than it already is though.

lol wut? a high lvl lance can clear an entire fr with its steady stream of l2's.
Lances most often have the highest amount of TeK's and kills in general. Please if you are going to be biased because you dont use WB than just stfu, we have enough trolls already.

Weasels have become a real pain. They shouldn't be given portals, or if they get them it should be at a much higher rank. It's hard enough to corner them but when you do they can warp away.

I would like to point out a couple of issues with the current settings:

1) Inferiority of Warbird:
It has become quite obvious that warbird is severily underpowered. If you use the standard TW settings as a guide, it would seem (at around rank40) all other ships are much more powerful than their standard TW counterparts. All except warbird, which apart from 2 mines, is much weaker in terms of speed, manouverability, and fire power. It is possible to make it faster or more manouverable but only at the sacrifice of l3 bullets, and the l3's are not even a definite kill.
Also, it seems the "masterdrive" function of warbird has recently been reduced, which does nothing but further increase the inferiority of the ship.
I suspect warbirds have been unfairly oppressed as a tactic to reduce camping and promote more basing-friendly ships. However, it is unfair to all the people who have invested considerable amounts of time to their warbird, thinking that the settings are balanced and fair.. Which leads to the next issue..

2) Terr Kills:
I believe TeK's could be a satisfying and integral part of the Warbird's purpose in basing. But if so, the TeK bonuses need to be greatly increased. Terrs are always surrounded by its teammates, and are very hard to kill. To go after the red ship usually results in the loss of 2-3 other kills. It is not rewarding in terms of RP, and at the moment the few warbirds who do hunt terrs sacrifice alot of RP for the sake of the team.
Make a TeK bonus 3x that of a standard ship. It would give warbird a legitimate basing role, aswell as promoting another element to the game, one of "pro terr hunters".
I cant see any reason why the TeK bonus shouldnt be alot more.. They are easily 3x harder to kill and are pivotal to a team victory.

I can almost guarantee never run 24/7 on an unrestricted basis.

It is possible it WILL eventually run 24/7 (not during TWL or special events) with a restricted amount of play per day. qan was talking something like 1-2 hours per day per player, which sounds about right to me. However, I think Distension would need a much larger player base for this to work.

The bot is still unstable and anything like this is probably far off into the future, if ever.

If it's ever 24 hours a day it will be capped to 1-2 hours play max- that's what qan mentioned one day and I agree with him.

Also, there's nothing wrong with terriers assisting (in fact, it's often good for a balanced game) as long as they do it to even teams rather than just to hop to the better team. The point you make about it confusing players for a few seconds is a bit ridiculous and definitely a non-issue.

Most of the time when I play it's because of Distension. If not it's pub. I go to events every now and then but don't like most of them because I like playing terr only. But that's just me. I agree with distension being available 24/7 but for 4 hours a day. Distension right now is being hosted 2 hours in the morning/afternoon and 2 hours at night.

About weasels, they do seem too overpowered right now, specially with portals. I don't remember them being this powerful in the beta.

IMO terrs shouldn't be able to assist. A lot of the time a player will not read the text in the chat saying a terr has gone to assist the other army and will spend a few more seconds looking for another terr. I know it's only a few seconds, but it adds up, specially with many players. These few seconds could make the difference in a game.
As a terr I have never and don't ever plan to assist, I ask others join me.

Yeah at some point this needs to run 24/7 because the limited time slots are making it very hard to get people to play anything but their favorite ships and limiting the number of high level terrs overall. If you can only play 2 hours a day on this why would u want to play anything but your preferred ship? We are about to get to that threshold where new people won't even want to play it because the majority of people who already like it crowd them out of the small time slots and are so much higher in rank that it's very hard to catch up.

I guess I have to reiterate and clarify. Stop giving wark and LB any attention in this thread. Neither one of them have any say whatsoever about anything regarding distension at any time, and never will. If they disagree with you, let them, the zone has more to lose than to gain by shunning distension and its players. Internet people troll, get used to it.

On Topic: Has qan seen the idea about a level unlock for both weasel and lanc? Im now the kill leader every single round I play in, and still cant get lanc, frustrating.

There's not a problem with discussing it, I just don't see the point in doing so right now.

It's too soon to be thinking about running this 24/7 because pub still hasn't major strides in improvement yet. You might not care, but having an engaging pub with strives being made towards improvement should take higher priority than implementing a 24/7 sub-arena and dealing with any issues thereof.

TagMor started to get back into his habit of bitching about what he thinks is ridiculous in the world according to tagmor style again, which is fine because it's Tagmor. He's acting like it's a crime for Distension to not but running 24/7 even though it's a sub-arena in an MMO that isn't an MMORPG centered zone. That's why wark and I got on him about it.

But in regards to you hopping all over wark's and my post, why are you doing it? Are you really going to start to quote every piece of my posts again? You don't need to feel compelled to defend Distension with long posts like that and you're just going to incite wark to post more shit, so just smoke your weed and chill out, homie.
