It's pretty ridiculous how hard it is to get people to play a ship that actually helps the team win. It's even more ridiculous that people will be such assholes to the few people who do terr often if they decide to help the other team.

In his defense:

The teams were uneven, we were discussing the assist ability at the time. I had assisted and unassisted as a terr, and he was complaining that terrs should be banned for assisting. I explained that i assisted to help his team that didn't have terrs (or was just losing idk). I got switched back, because tag's team was no longer undermanned due to the specing/queue. Thus, because his team was no longer needing people to assist, it shouldn't really be the "losing" team even if it had lost the prevoius rounds (b/c of new people).

I did !armies and it was 11 v 13, ~850 v ~1100. Suddenly Tagmor was on the "overpowered" team.

Not in his defense: He probably did switch out simply because his team lost so many rounds in a row. However, you can't really prove this, and to attempt would be bad precedent. It will have to be a situation where someone actually attempts to help the better team (which i thought shouldn't even be allowed according to the assist warrants).




Side note: Why on earth someone can complain so much about not having good terrs, yet refuse to play one themselves is beyond me. He couldn't assist at first most likely because he was such a high ranked wb. If he had switched ships, he probably could have assisted much earlier. Had he (or anyone else) switched to a terrier, his team might have not have lost 5 rounds in a row.

Well, I'm sorry the bot fucked up... I guess that's another thing for qan to work on. I only wanted to kick you out of the current game (qan says to *spec people but that doesn't keep them in spec in Distension because of the bot) and Distension bans are only either on/off, you can't specify a time or anything.

Anyway, since you want to make this public, please spare us the "playing dumb" BS. You know exactly what you did. You were on the shit team for many games straight, complain and whine about it forever, and then you nobly "assist" the other team as soon as you get the chance.

Give me a break and stop acting like a victim.

First of all this will be my last post in this thread so no need for the "stop whining" shit. I wont read it.


Today during the 1am session Stabwound banned me from distension without warning. He claimed it was because I abused the assist system, yet the teams were 11 vs. 13 and around 1130 vs. 1370 points.. It was at the start of a new round.
Stab tried to justify it by saying I assisted a team that had won the last 5 battles.. yet the teams were completely different due to people being specced.
Then, 5 minutes later he unbans me.
I return and join hte queue where it says I am 1/9. I continue to sit in spec and Dbot randomly starts PM'n me with:
DBot> A slot has opened up. Sending you to your army...
Yet I am unable to enter.
This continues for the next 20mins, at which point I realise it must be a bug with banning and unbanning.

To conclude, I have had enough of the bullshit surrounding this game and am done with it. Just as it gets back on track, Stabwound starts abusing his power for whatever personal reasons.
It's pretty childish and basically there are other games/aspects of Tw where I dont have to deal with such bullshit.

I know the common attitude is that I whine and wont be missed, however people accepting such bias and abuse from the Mod is retarded and will only do bad things for the game.

distension ops have always had the capability to change someone's name, and have done so multiple times in the past.

however, this is only done sparingly, so choose your name wisely!

I'm not really sure what qan meant by "moving ships" because the message was cut off. :P I'm guessing he means if you had a shark on an alt and want it on your main account he can do that, but I'm not 100% sure.

And he said he'd look at the player cap increasing command. It's still broken at the moment, unfortunately.
