TWL Postponements

I dont see how it'll drag out to be 14-15 weeks. If every squad is allowed to postpone one and only one match, that will, at most, add an extra week. If we combine the postponed games + replays into one week, everyone will be happy.

Remember, not every squad would want to postpone a match as they get one and only one for the season. A US squad might not want to postpone on a euro holiday and vice versa. This way, its up to the squads to decide which games to play later.

They would want one for each league though. Even if each squad had one it would be an extra 2 weeks. Extending to 11 weeks is bad enough. I think holidays and if both squads agree would be fine in season 10 given that it does not disrupt the league. I don't see it working this season.

I still think if you accept your TWL position you have the responsibility to play, take the loss or get out of TWL.

How is that an extra 2 weeks? Every squad will have at most 3 games (twld/j/b) to play, making it the same as another week of twl. I'm assuming that not _every_ squad would postpone a game, so it'll be fine to do it during replay week.

Holidays or not, I dont think it should matter. Remember, both squads have to agree to it. If someone wants to postpone a game for a stupid reason, the other squad just has to say no.

Yes, but theres no reason why TWL cant be a little bit flexible. Its not about doing it in the shortest time possible, its about putting the best players on the field at the same time and seeing whos really better. Not to mention, holidays always plague TWL for one reason or another. This gives squads that are affected by holidays a chance to not get screwed over by the system.

Hey all you finns out there, schedule your matches either on saturday, or early on sunday, so you can go after your last match (if they're all on sunday it's after 10.30 pm) to get pissed. The party's probably gonna last till the morning anyways.

But my original suggestion of playing all the matches on saturday should still work.

just let them have it, why are so many people complaining about this? it's a national holiday for them and they asked politely. we didn't ask on 4th of july to get it postponed, so dont complain about that. find somewhere else to start drama shit, like UC

I think we missed the point, i agree with Top, Disq just wants a better postponing game STructure, like allowing squads who can not play during a certain weekend to come play at the end of regular season where we can have all games that have been postponed. -f- will show they are too leet, either that or sika will bring his laptop to the party and play drunk

We are officially not going to be postponing any games next week due to any sort of holiday whatsoever.

If players would like to suggest a better system for TWL where we can impliment a system that allows teams to have one freebie if and when their times are not suitable, feel free to discuss about it for future TWL's to come.

For once I agree with Izor.... Thanksgiving is on THURSDAYS, and the Americans didn't get the 4th of July off, probably thE most 'important' hoilday for Americans. I believe in equality and fairness...this isn't fair to those Americans last season who played rather than have fun elsewhere with friends and family.

I know that posting on any TW forum is a hazardous task, with little to gain but everything to lose, hence I do it quite rarely. Once again most of the eager forum readers, TWL predictors or just simply put idiots managed to lose the point of my post, with the exceptions of TopGod and eelam.

I was merely suggesting implimenting a system that would allow all squads to postpone one single game when they'd find it impossible to play at the set date. That would benefit the players, the squads and most of all the league itself, by keeping the level of competition at its peak.

Maybe you should try not calling every person with an opposing view or different ideas here idiots. It works wonders on this forum, just something for the future.

I still don't see how a squad, not on a holiday, could NOT fit a single TWL game into their life when they basicly decide in the first place when the game happens and agreed when taking a TWL spot to participate in all league games or be removed. Still I can understand if it is a real holiday (not some stupid drinking day) but extending the league beyond 11 weeks is not acceptable nor is allowing many unnecessary postponments to the end goal of this league.

Of course TWL is about fielding your best but it is also about having your best organized and working together. If for example PL or Blood decide to skip town for the weekend should their squad use their "coupon"? I think that is what it will be used for mainly, not for legitimate reasons but to get out of situations squads should and do face. This is why I say only allow it during holidays because postponing TWL for random stupid things like missing players doesn't promote good habbits or a strong league and will cause more problems for both players and staffers in the long run.

Do you guys actually want to discuss this or just circle jerk?
