I don't get how you can base your decision on something as silly as that. It's a well known fact (at least I've known for years) that you can substitute a player out when he "has just died out" and get a fresh player with 1 death. Did you know that there is delay with the !sub command? It doesn't sub 0.01 secs after you've sent it to the bot. It takes quite a while actually..

All that really matters is that it hit on his screen thus killing him:

I think a lot of squadrons will start abusing this bug if you (TWL OPs+) will not step up and fix your errors.

Due to this bug/oversight with the TWL bots, it is entirely possible to have an extra player in the game, which is what happened here. It is probably possible in TWL to get an extra "life" by substituting any player right as they're about to die.

That is a total and irrefutable explanation as to why they had a valid appeal. "Sight" is completely irrelevant in this case, and this was entirely due to with a bot bug in combination with how the game mechanics work.

juping the flag happens nearly all the time because of an ignorant ram. that then renders the rammer's team helpless, because they can not claim the flag until it resets. this results in the other team getting flag time because of it. you all knew that already though.

this whole situation has one team abusing a bug for an extra death. if a flag jupe caused one team to need 30 more seconds of flag time in order to win, then i'd understand how these two bugs could be even remotely comparable. however, it clearly doesn't and this bug created an unfair advantage for thunder. give pirates the replay.

There is a key difference between the flag jupe bug at this bug:

The flag jupe bug is a negative bug to intentionally set off, as it makes you lose flag time. This substitute bug is an EXPLOITABLE bug which absolutely goes against what is intended: giving an extra death as well has having an extra player in the game. This is not comparable at all. The quote above has you encouraging players to abuse this bug.

If this appeal is not overturned then I also encourage all TWLD and TWLJ players to abuse this.

When I referred to the flag jupe I was using it to show that that was also known by the public, not mentioned in the TWL rules, the replay was also denied, and then a rule was made to prevent further problems with it.

It's pretty childish and immature that just because you didnt get your way you decide to do the same thing you have been whining about. But I know I shouldnt expect better. Which is why I'll repeat myself again and say a solution will be created to prevent this from happening again.

I'll leave you guys now to continue your discussion. I think we are now just repeating ourselves over and over and not much more productivity can come from this.

If the glitch did not happen and (A) the sub was made quicker and ease did in fact not die out...then yes...the game would have been played out and we could all bitch at thunder for being lame. or (B) the sub was made and the glitch did not occur taking ease out of the game and not allowing Ardour to play...the game could have gone either way. Thats a fact. Its not as if the glitch happened and thunder stomped us by 15 kills...it was a close match.


This isnt TWD where we can all bitch for no reason....this is TWL.

What happened in our game is not the same thing as it played no impact on the game, and the other squad had no intentions of complaining. I would honestly accept a rematch if that player we subbed in one the game singlehandedly.

Also saying that this can't be used in an appeal because there is no rule against this is just stupid. This is clearly an error, and it has to be addressed asap. It's quite obvious that this mistake happened because a bot was in charge of the game rather than a host, so a mistake in the bot is bot failure. Just because you can't understand this doesn't make it any less real.
