Why I am voting for bush

Well whoop-de-do you have all those tests, I'm proud of you. But still, if you're Christian, you should believe the whole Bible, correct? Considering Jesus converted Paul, and in a way spoke to him, his writings are truthful too. Paul was an apostle, which was someone that Jesus himself chose to preach his word. And one of the things he preached was that homosexuality is wrong.And the burn in hell thing was not directly stated in the verse, but the part where it said "will inherit the kingdom of God" implyed that. So you're actually being a hypocrite, claiming to be this God-fearing Catholic, when you're actually going against a teaching saying that homosexuality is wrong. And also about gay marriage - the Sixth commandment forbids that also. I'm looking in my small catechism right now for references by the way. I already quoted Corinthians so here's Romans:
Romans 1:24, 26-27 NIV Therefore God gave them over in the sinful desires of their hearts to sexual impurity for the degrading of their bodies with one another.... Even their women exhanged natural relations for unnatural ones. In the same way the men also abandoned natural relations with women and were inflamed with lust for one another. Men committed indecent acts with other men, and received in themselves the due penalty for perversion.

There's two Bible references forbidding homosexuality, and if you still thinks it's ok and claim to be Christian, then you are the hypocrite, not I.

And yet u still miss the main message of Jesus' Teaching....ure so lost in ure hate for homosexuality that u forgot that Jesus' message to man is not that Homosexuality is evil....its to love all Humans.....Therfore u need to love ure fellow men whether they are homosexual or not....no tell them they can burn in hell

Yes, being homosexual happens, I understand that. But does that mean they should go out and have sex with other guys because they like it? No. Just like someone who likes to molest kids shouldn't go out and molest kids because he likes it.

Why do you keep comparing homosexuality to child molestation? How about saying that just because a straight guy likes girls, he doesn't go out and have sex before he is married?

I also don't think that you have to believe every single thing in the bible to be a christian. Ever since I read the Da Vinci code I've been wondering about how much of the bible has been edited by powerful priests and others just so it can fit their view on God and his teachings. I also don't see how you can hate gays and call yourself a christian. Jesus didn't hate anybody, and he didn't preach hate. There is a difference between tolerance and hate, and I think damning our fellow men just because they take it up the butt is the last thing Jesus wanted.

If you don't like the idea of two guys having sex, fine. I'm not thrilled about the thought of that either, but the thing is I respect their right to privacy, and their right to have that kind of relationship if they choose to do so. All I keep seeing from a majority of hardcore religous people are fanactics preaching hate. It's not just Christians, but Muslims, Jews and others. I know all religious people aren't like that but damn, can't we all just do our own thing and stop making a fuss about who is going to hell? Be kind to your fellow men and live your own life. No need to try and force your ideals onto someone else.

I'm at work. Just one thing to pandagirl, I'm a christian aswell (according to the books) and yet I'm an atheist. God has never done anything special for me, I haven't even noticed him. My confirmation lasted for 10 days (was a camping trip, sort of) including smoking and drinking. :P

I have no problem with the fact that you are a Christian. I have no problem that you have strong beliefs. I have a problem when those beliefs are ignorant.
