Lol, why would you change the way elim works, when it's been a great success for almost a decade running at it's current ranking settings etc? I mean sure, make a bot to replace the lost one, and try to make some improvements..but why change things to the point where it's not even the same thing anymore?

Playing for wins must be the dumbest thing you could do to elim; playing sharp and the like as was forced previously to maintain good rank can now be thrown in the shitter as just hiding or avoiding any deaths and running is all it will take to get good 'rank'.

The rating system will be changed slightly to benefit those with good kill ratios; however, it will mainly be based upon whether or not you win the games you play.

That's pretty much why rank shouldn't actually enter the 'ranked ladder' until you have around 500 combined kills and deaths, as was with Robo Ref. It greatly discourages just having some silly little feeding or spec for rec sessions because it will take you a very long time to even appear on the ladder with the accumulated amount of kills/deaths.

By 500 kill/deaths, some form of average begins to straighten out in your ratio, other than some luck streak or horrid streak. And that usually makes it a lot more accurate. Hopefully this will be implemented again.

winning elim and getting ratios does not fully respect how good someone is in elim it is just the way it is played in order to get successful ratings.

when I ranked with the name Entertainer it did not take me long to realize a game to 5 with 8-2 k-d was the way to go for rating. I had about 1017 rating and 50-14 after 5 or 6 games. Can't remember. Point is: 12-4 with 20 people in is far more rewarding than 22-8 ever will be, or even 28-10... which is why the number one spot really can't be determined by ratio alone. However, I did not see anything "wrong" with it really, you just had to play alot more safe and naturally have less deaths and less kills.

When rankings were still in effect with robo there was a guy called 'dude supreme' who was #10 with only 19 games played, and hence he was the only one with more than 15 kills each elim out of the top 20, that should be more rewarding in my opinion, however, simple suiciding to 20-10 is not really the way to go either.

Lol Spacely I dare you to go find a thread of some fake screenshot that has you beating me 10-4. I can assure you it never happened, and it definitely won't happen either, and the 'current' elim ranks you have are some fake shit anyway; elim 'seasons' don't even last long enough for people to get thousands of kills like that before it resets scores usually, let alone if a guy was sick enough to do it 2-3 kills at a time it would take months and months of doing it many times a day. Give it up, dude.

and yes the elim ranks do reset every so often but they also stay and get added to a database. and i jus gave proof that people manipulate the ratio system.

if you win elim you should gain rank and if you lose elim you should lose rank its that simple.

elimination is a game that is a battle to the death with one winner and to rank it any other way is absurd.

just to prove you wrong if it goes off ratios watch me manipulate my way to first and hold it forever with the name lostowl and dont worry i wont get caught.

winning should have everything to do with rank you moron. hiding is what some people do anyways and others rush them. all the kill/death ratio does is make people run and hide and spec for rec so they can get a better elim ranking. it should be you win elim you advance in rankings. if some coward wants to try to hide they gonna have to fight sooner or later or get spec'd for refusing to fight.

if you look at elim ranking for all time the #1 is Unknown who has 0 wins out of 5355 games with 5397 kills or so and 0 deaths. so this guy got 1 kill a game some of the games maybe he got 2 kills. all he had to do is have someone meet him in the corner befor gogogo to give him a kill and then spec....... does he deserve the #1 rank spot in elim for doing this???

Lol Spacely that's the dumbest shit I've ever heard. Elim is all about getting the right ratios, and nothing about winning it. Watching your back, dodging multiple opponents, being careful with shots, and clutching with vulches is the skill elim expects you to pull out. Everyone would just hide if it was anything about wins.

Besides, I've won all the elims I played in elimbeta so far, but the win counter was not added when that was so it says I have no wins.

Either way, winning would make it all about hiding; you just 'don't understand' it because you suck and would never manage to attain the proper ratios required to get high ranks. Your bs about people getting fed to even anywhere near 1st place are urban legends and is just a convenient excuse for average players to ever try and get a foothold into changing the obviously just method of ranking elim play.
