Hey I had to go through confirmation, 4 hours a week, every week, for two years. And that's 4 hours of nonstop notes and memorization. And at the end there was a 16 page test, with about 180 short answer and essay questions, and we had to get an A to pass. I know what I'm talking about.

I don't hate gays, I just don't believe in their lifestyle. I never said I hate people that have abortions, I just disagree with what they're doing.

And as for the "gays will burn in hell comment," I know it was a bit harsh, but as you claim to have read the bible so many times, you should be familiar with 1 Corinthians 6:9-10, should you not? "Do you not know that the wicked will not inherit the kingdom of God? Do not be deceived: Neither the sexually immoral nor idolaters nor adulterers nor male prostitutes nor homosexual offenders nor thieves nor the greedy nor drunkards nor slanderers nor swindlers will inherit the kingdom of God."

That's straight out of the NIV version in case you would like to look it up.

So then, we're left recognizing that whether people like it or not, we have differences, and as long as they cause no harm to another person then they should be allowed to pursue their goals. What does this mean? It means that under the law we have two choices: Ignore it and hope it goes away (How often does this solution work?) OR Provide equal protection and consideration under the standards of law for all citizens of these United States. Sounds like the second one would be the way to go for a free-thinking advanced human culture and society, doesn't it?

Rail against abortion and gay marriage all you want, all you in truth show is how stubbornly people want our government and our culture to cling to outdated individual opressive ideals and be only half a step away from being monkeys with sticks.

Ok firstly.....4 weeks and 180 questions is nothing missy.....try ure entire life full of 180 question tests.....Secondly Corinthians is not Jesus' word spoken....If u knew nething then u would know that Corinthians is one of the letters written by Paul.....therefore the true source of Christianity Jesus himself.....never once said that homosexuals were going to "burn in hell" and u know what u ignorant lil girl....u should burn in hell for such a comment.....I wish no one to burn in hell.....thats a terrible thing to say....and certainly not Christian....so maybe u should rethink ureself honey

Well whoop-de-do you have all those tests, I'm proud of you. But still, if you're Christian, you should believe the whole Bible, correct? Considering Jesus converted Paul, and in a way spoke to him, his writings are truthful too. Paul was an apostle, which was someone that Jesus himself chose to preach his word. And one of the things he preached was that homosexuality is wrong.And the burn in hell thing was not directly stated in the verse, but the part where it said "will inherit the kingdom of God" implyed that. So you're actually being a hypocrite, claiming to be this God-fearing Catholic, when you're actually going against a teaching saying that homosexuality is wrong. And also about gay marriage - the Sixth commandment forbids that also. I'm looking in my small catechism right now for references by the way. I already quoted Corinthians so here's Romans:
Romans 1:24, 26-27 NIV Therefore God gave them over in the sinful desires of their hearts to sexual impurity for the degrading of their bodies with one another.... Even their women exhanged natural relations for unnatural ones. In the same way the men also abandoned natural relations with women and were inflamed with lust for one another. Men committed indecent acts with other men, and received in themselves the due penalty for perversion.

There's two Bible references forbidding homosexuality, and if you still thinks it's ok and claim to be Christian, then you are the hypocrite, not I.

Well there's a thing called repentance, which you should very well know about. But for homosexuals, they wouldn't be able to repent unless they renounced their homosexuality. There's a difference between knowing the path and taking it for example. Yes, being homosexual happens, I understand that. But does that mean they should go out and have sex with other guys because they like it? No. Just like someone who likes to molest kids shouldn't go out and molest kids because he likes it.
