I never said I hate gays. I just said that I disagree with what they do, and so does the bible. And as for the child molestation references, I guess that's just what popped into my mind because my uncle is a child molester. He's crazy though - we shunned him.

Now Panda.....u talk all this stuff about making Gay Marriages illegial....and the bible may say that being gay is wrong....but in the constitution.....there is a clear amendment...that says there must be a Seperation between Church and State....therefore us christians.....our views dont matter....unless they are for the good of the country....not for the good of our religious beliefs

The Bible is a collection of stories generally designed to influence people to behave and live a good life. Is it fiction? Maybe. Is it non-fiction? Maybe. To avoid getting into a long spiel concerning religion (because who the fuck ever fully agrees on the subject), I believe that, for the most part, it teaches the basic principles of love and understanding. But then there are instances where it draws a proverbial line in the sand, which leads us back to "if you're gay, shake hands with satan". I don't feel that's balanced. It is due to these reoccuring instances all the way through the Bible that I don't feel it's an infallible piece of work.

You don't have to agree with me - I'm no super-expert when it comes to religion. I slept through most of confirmation class anyway.

How can you NOT realize there are a lot of bullshit in it..."and Moses (or who the fuck ever) was eaten by a big fish, and he stayed in the fish's stomache for 3 days and 3 nights and then he came out and he saw the light" or whatever... If you would be eaten by a big fish and actually survive into the stomache you wouldn't live for 3 days because of the stomache acids.

Firstly if ure gonna prove a point....get the point correct....Moses was not eaten by a whale....Moses led the Israelites to the promised land....and it was Jonah that survived being eaten by a whale.....Now as far as literally translating the bible goes.....that was my whole argument...she was picking out parts of scripture to literally translate....The bible really is as stated above by PJ...a structure by which we are meant to live our lives....I one hundred percent support what ure sayin Da1....and that was pretty much my whole argument against Panda
